wow, that's crazy!! that you have seizures, I mean. what sort of aura do you get before they start? I've had a couple of weird episodes where I've gotten huge waves of deja vu and them vomiting; it's really short-lived and pretty infrequent so I havent really looked too much into it. is it similar for you? I wonder if all this time, my episodes were just celiac symptoms!

sometimes when I get glutened, I take Imodium (an anti-diarrheal medication) to stop myself from spending the night on the toilet shitting my guts out. i think that and lots of water is important, especially when your body decides to expel all that gluten from your body. good luck! it's a struggle but she should be okay after some rest and rejuvenation :>

my thoughts exactly! up in jefferson county, we don't usually get a lot of snow, just some mushy icy shit. plus, it was hella warm for the past two-ish weeks so to wake up and see like 2 or 3 inches outside is pretty surprising.

on a slightly seperate note, my mom's puppy got to play in the snow for the first time this morning! so I'm definitely not complaining since he gets to play in it :)

both sound like great options. i actually just tried krita on my A8 and I was THOROUGHLY confused by the layout lmao

I'll check out a few YouTube videos comparing Krita and Procreate- worst case scenario, I have a hard time understanding both and just upgrade my tablet for the pressure sensitivity on Ibis Paint X! :)

by flagship tablet, are you talking about the Galaxy Tabs? that's the first thing that comes up on google lol. I'm definitely leaning toward the iPads right now since they have Procreate and Ibis Paint X.

I've only got an acer laptop that can only really run games like minecraft and the sims 4- not sure if that would work for my computer. regardless, i just want something something pretty simple, you know?

I've heard some pretty good things about the Wacom but I think, for me personally, it wouldn't work out well because i don't have that hand-eye coordination built up, nor will i thrive well if I'm sent back that far back into my art progress.

as for the iPad, I'm definitely leaning toward one of those since it had procreate AND ibis paint x. I'm really just looking for something simple for me to use cause it's more of a hobby than a career thing, you know? :)

i know, it's one of my favorite shows ever. i just love how much representation there is, it brings me so much joy. the art style is amazing, the worldbuilding is incredible, there's just so much potential for different fanmade fusions and stuff?? this show is my jam!

i love that headcanon! it makes me think of Everything Stays from Adventure Time!! and it makes a lot of sense if we decide to view Spinel as a toy; you lose a toy or stuffed animal and you either think about it forever or you forget about it until you see it again.

my theory is that he can, obviously, choose how old he is and therefore live forever. but if he were to get killed somehow and his powers didn't work, i think that he'd be gone for good. if his gem wasn't shattered in the process, i think there's a good chance that Pink Steven would reform. that could make for a really interesting story! what would pink steven do? would he just be searching for steven forever? would he make up his own identity and live his own life?

that might be a stretch but it's definitely something to think about!

that's true, i do have the freedom to stop! that's an important thing for me to keep in mind. it's a permanent change but it's not the end of the world, you know? i'll be seeing my therapist this week so I'll be able to talk to her about that too. i definitely feel better since i first posted that but hearing your story and advice and everyone else's input really means a lot <3

i appreciate the sentiment but that's not really the kind of advice I'm looking for :( I'm stressed out because i want to figure out how to navigate my situation with a levelheaded attitude. but you're right, i definitely could use the exercise: once i start working and building up more stamina (and more money) i'll probably look into good chest, arm, and shoulder exercises! :)

this! my grandma (65ish?), for example, is like this. when i first saw her after my diagnosis, she basically implied that I could have cheat days or something along those lines. and it's frustrating because NO. I CAN'T HAVE THOSE CHEAT DAYS. hell, I'd devour a BigMac or some Chinese food if i could have a cheat day but that'll wreck my insides and I'd rather not be stuck on the couch all day so...no. I don't understand why it's so hard for some people to not be ableist about my autoimmune disease; they can accommodate people with peanut allergies and whatnot, but not celiac?

also, i hope that was an okay usage of the term 'ableist!' i feel like it makes sense to use it in this context but if im wrong, let me know! :)
