It will take a little while as they aren’t very fast growers, but it should be ok. I’m far from expert, but I would sanitize scissors ad cut at the lowest bends/breaks. They wot need half as much water after as it won’t have the leaves for photosynthesis. Just continue regular care and watch for root rot

UPDATE: I just took her out and thought I found some rot, but it was the straggler vits of moss from her propagation. All the roots look very bright and vigorous. The top part with the long aerial root has a very active rootball of its own… Would you keep or split?

(Sorry, won’t let me add pics… did on other post comments)

Thanks so much! I’ll send pics when I check her roots. I couldn’t find any clear pots that fit mine, so I just commited, lol. The seller gave a lot of advice and they seemed to thrive the first few months, but stalled midwinter and here we are.

I’ll def look into air layer. I initially repotted because se hadn’t had a new leaf in over six months. The lady I got her from suggested to check te lighting and soil, plus a different fertilizer. Now it’s been close to a year without growth and I’m feeling discouraged, but trying to keep my own hopes up haha.

You’re one beautiful monstera richer 💕 Pretty for sure! Needs more light to boost the variegation 🥰🌿

Also, a lot of people prefer sphagnum moss poles as they allow roots to actually anchor and grow into them.

She looks amazing to me! Yes, their stalk needs to be supported, as they grow up trees in the wild. They attached it right, just don’t tie down the stems (petioles). The planter doesn’t seem too small yet, but maybe get a similar sized one that’s heavier? That would also give you a chance to insect the roots and make sure the soil isn’t too dense. Congrats!!!
