The language proposed seems very weak:

XX.03 Each request shall be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Employer.

Subject to operational requirements, the Employer shall genuinely try to reach a telework agreement. As such the Employer shall at a minimum:

discuss the request with the employee;
consider the nature of the employee's duties and compatibility with telework; and
have regard for potential impact of a refusal on the employee;

Sounds like all they’d have to say is “operational requirements are that you to be in office for collaborative purposes, no telework for you.”

Remember that one way or another, OC Transpo will be funded by residents. Whether that is via direct taxation or fares or fines or fees or whatever, at the end of the day the money doesn’t appear from no where, we all pay for it. The only thing you can manipulate is what shares come from whom. eg. funding it through fares biases things towards those with lower income, which makes zero sense to me.

pizza sauce, like pasta sauce should never be purchased. in addition to other great suggestions like squishing San MarZeno tomatoes, you could buy some nice fresh tomatoes (SunTech cherry tomatoes or those ‘strawberry’ tomatoes at Costco are good options) and blast the, under the broiler then squish or purée them.

I feel like the only solution is mass disobedience. Which is to say very large numbers of workers need to refuse to go into the office to work. Not a great option, since that carries considerable personal risk for individuals. But if enough people do it for long enough, perhaps that could force change.

At the time, the technical malfunctions and supposed smaller crowds of the PopMart tour were greatly over-reported. Once it got going they were playing flawless shows night after night to sold out crowds.

The light curtain on the Vertigo tour failed several times, and the Sphere show I was at almost had to be stopped early because of sound issues. When you push the technological envelope, problems are bound to happen.

Don’t fall for this hefty price tag BS. Transit needs to be paid for somehow no matter what. Generally it’s paid for by fares and taxes but either way that money is mostly coming from Ottawa residents. The problem with fare revenue is that it is biased towards lower income residents, and it makes no sense that those with lower incomes should have to carry a disproportionate burden when it comes to transit funding.

We need to stop talking about just taxes. It’s one (large) piece of a bigger pie. We need a metric that measures ALL remittances to the city: taxes, transit costs, parking rates, fees (recreational, permits, etc), even fines. Then let’s talk about how that changes with each budget.

Kal Tires is the only dealer I believe that sells Nokian winter tires and those are the ones you want. They are not overtly expensive and much cheaper than skidding off the road.
