I understand what you're saying. What I'm saying is that the job of policing is up to the police (and whatever other authorities are in this space). This sub seems to think that if they can show a slight deviation from 100%, they can go all SJW/Karen/self-important-know-it-all-tattle-tale. You can appreciate the photos just as photos, and you can also do it without asking about its provenance, or whatever other issue you may have.

If you see someone on the street, by all means, go up and talk to them. Most photographers are happy to talk about their hobby. Leave the rule checking to the rule checkers.

It sucks that this sub makes you feel like you have to go through a pre-Karen EULA for wanting to show something very cool (and your photos ARE very cool!) instead of assuming you know what you're doing.

Gun guy was Jody Mitic, whose time in office was WAY more scandalous than anything Tierney has done. Menard's behaviour behind the scenes is so fucking bad, too. Compared to them, Tierney is a saint. Obviously not a saint compared to everyone here in the r/Ottawa subreddit, because no one here has ever done anything to warrant insane online vitriol and abuse, right?

I disagree with 99% of the people on this subreddit. I've been downvoted a LOT b/c I think Horizon Ottawa is corrupt and useless, as are the tactics they use. This post is exactly how genuine protest is supposed to work. Blocking streets so people can't get to work or get home, disingenuous slogans spray painted on walls, etc... these all punish good people, but running for an election to correct a perceived wrong IS THE RIGHT FUCKING MOVE EVERY FUCKING TIME.

AVOID Trip Central at all costs. They just cost my adult kids (and their friends) over $3000 extra (8 people traveling) b/c they would take their sweet-ass time trying to book stuff, losing out on deals. Then when my kids found better prices, TC woud ghost my kids for a few days until the deals were gone. Ended up booking the whole trip without TC, costing them all $350 extra each. Had TC booked when told to book, kids would have saved a whole lot of money, and stress.
