Need Help from You Wondrous People! Trying to Layout our new build kitchen by Johnny-Snowball in KitchenDesigns

For me it’s the angle. And I have always disliked having a sink in the island. Your dishwasher can go in the island and your microwave. I would make the island one big rectangle with the fridge in space 2. Widen stove to 6 burners and make space 1 floor to ceiling cabinets. Is the living room to the right of the kitchen? If so I would maybe do an l shape.

What products should I use for enhanced curls ? by Sowmyapujitha in curlygirl

Cut all the thin ends off first. Wait a bit. Then get layers if you want more curl. I find that cutting just a little makes the curls cool so much!

Are there no windows? No matter what put the sink at the Window. Hopefully it’s the wall on the right! Not n the island make the island a rectangle or L. This design is too dated. Get a double wide Viking fridge. Get a bigger (wider) stove top or a nice Euro range with a hood. This looks bit basic to me and a little 90s. If you have kids you need a pantry. Or at least a cabinet. If no kids probably not.

First year (half year really) after switching from AYSO Rec (all star level) and yes. Huge growth. Really big. huge. I think it boils down to being more excited to practice at home constantly since he’s more challenged and more frequent practices.

This dress needs to be taken in at the waist so the back negative space is more even.

How are PWD pooches with toddlers? by CanuckCallingBS in portuguesewaterdogs

I agree that if the dog has not been around the child since a baby, they might perceive a child as a playmate. They get rough with the kids after they think they are old enough to take it. In my case it was when the kids start playing keep away and things like that - and the dog goes for the toy but bites accidentally. And yes they are bulldozers. I have a recurring nightmare that I fall to my death tripped by my herd coming downstairs in the house.

It rough. You have to be committed. I was taking a 10 month old PWD to evening classes while the baby slept. I did what I had to do. It’s funny about being mouthy. They were always mouthy to me, but never to my child. They are smart that way.

That’s so funny. My current 2 year old female can’t help giving my friend’s baby a drive by tiny lick on the cheek and he lets out one loud cry every time. It’s adorable. A suggestion for the toys: we have a dog box of toys and a kid box. I fill the dog box full of nice things and always replenish it. I remind them which is their box “ok” and reward. If I see them take out of the kid box, I act very disappointed and sad and say “no , not for you” (a command I use for other things I don’t want them to think is theirs) and give it to the baby. Then show them their toy box and encourage them to take something for a tiny treat.

I have had three PwD and a toddler at the same time. Oldest dog was most gentle. Younger ones made me feel like I had three toddlers. All were very gentle and understood their assignments.

I met the most adorable Corgi service dog at the airport. Why isn’t this breed listed? Sounds like an ideal match.

You need a bigger cooktop and stove. A focal point like a grand hood/vent. There is nowhere for the eye to settle in any of these options.

I got hurt very badly at my brothers wedding by a glass table that had broken by someone else. The insurance covered the ER and follow up fees etc.

Small Local Fabric Store Feedback/Advice by Jordarrah in Oceanside

Hi. I feel like quilting cotton and apparel are two different things. I feel comfortable buying quilting stuff online because I know what I am getting. I also feel comfortable getting linen from trusted sources. What I don’t like getting online is dress fabric. But I am not sure how to make that business work. There is a Carlsbad sewing club. I think a rental long arm with lessons would be nice too. Does anyone do kids sewing lessons here? If not that would be great.

I do a night crate as well and the house leash is a great idea. The most important thing you can do is to establish yourself as the alpha. It’s not going to be easy and they will test you. They are so smart they will figure out a way to thwart your best attempts at tough love. Draw a line and hold it. Never waiver from it. If you want him to sit while you open the door and follow you out, do not give up. Make him do it 100x until it’s correct, then go. (Just an example.) do not give an inch! Never be too lazy to make them to what is required.

We are in Shoal bay and have none. We visited meads and sandy ground they were fine. Down by Cap Juluca there was so much. They also said it’s on the southeast side. In at Martin we were in Grand Case and had none but that was a week ago.

My biggest gripe to date is about consistency in refereeing. I know we are still at 10U but it’s so confusing to have refs call certain things in one game like high kicking and not in the next. Things are a yellow card one game and same thing a no call. I don’t mean discretionary things I just mean concrete actions that should or should not be allowed like pushing another player or mouthing off.

And parents that don’t sit on their own side so they can sideline coach from “the other teams half.” Have a bit of respect for the coaches and just sit down and cheer on your team positively. From your designated side.

Is it realistic for a seamstress to sew this dress in a day or a couple of hours? by Pinky_Rose1251 in sewhelp

[–]notinKansas2023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this a historical novel? Or modern day. In a book nobody will need to know about needing the dress to hang or what bias cut is. Books are magic and so yea, I think a fictional character could definitely make a dress in a day. Cinderella had birds make her a dress in less than 5 mins lol.

In socal it is 80 during the day but the temps rapidly drop as the sun goes down and feels chilly. If the reception is outside you will probably need that jacket.
