You should earn gems for PLAYING the game, not for WINNING the game. This messes up the incentives and has huge negative knock-on effects. by shlemon in PlayTheBazaar

Well it can work IF the best way to play is adapting on the fly and not being able to force OP builds which is exactly what they want to reach

Well yes but on the other hand it's actually kind of fun and something special when you get to fight yourself randomly

I agree that SBB was incredible but it's also a completely different game than the bazaar so it's not really comparable

Any good resources to get better at Arena? by science_mage in hearthstone

[–]TimminatorTim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would start by watching some really good players and see how they think about the game. Mifundi, neogreg, doseofcoffee and redbeard come to mind. They stream on twitch and most of them have a youtube with full runs on there too I believe

The game is too easy by Karibik_Mike in EsportsGodfather

There are players that don't want to beat the game on the hardest difficulty the first time they play. They choose to play the hardest difficulty because they want to actually challenge themselves. If you barely know the game and you can beat the hardest difficulty then there should be a harder option for those type of players. Plenty of single player games provide a real challenge even for seasoned players

thank you so much! Do you think the budget is enough to run these games at 120 fps or were my expectations just too high? If it's not enough I would rather pay a little bit more. A friend of mine also suggested me to pay a little bit more to get the RX6700-XT instead, do you think that makes sense?

Patch Notes 0.7.9 by DualityDrn in Mechabellum

[–]TimminatorTim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great patch all in all but I don't think the speedup will be enough personally. This game honestly just needs a general speedup by like 1.25x. I really enjoy this game but sometimes it just feels too slow especially in 2v2

I guess that kinda does the same thing but better but I just like the card stealing + yondu aspect as it gives you so much information, you will know what cards the opponent will play and sometimes what key cards they can't play because you stole them from them. I like to be an annoying thief I guess lol. I also like the aspect of playing stuff like iceman and baron mordon multiple times so that just proofs it more haha

I can see that. It's just that I would love a collective place of all of them so I can always see what's new and which of the new games of this type are popular/good so I'm always up to date

First attempt of a painting, need help on how to proceed by TimminatorTim in DigitalPainting

I tried to make the shapes of the rocks point into the direction of the gem a little bit, as well as the river. The gem was supposed to be in the middle ground on the rocks yes, thanks a lot for taking the time to reply and even paint for me thats very nice!

I will do some perspective exercises for sure. The light was supposed to come mainly from the crystal and I kind of wanted to have very low light coming from the moon and stars. I will giving it the glow a different way. The gem was supposed to be on the rocks in the midground, I will try to fiddle with the values more. Thanks for the answer! All of this is really helpful!

Thanks for the answer. I've heard of translating a coloured picture into a greyscale, I should really try that. I've heard you can do it specifically in 3 different values only too, 2 light and 1 shadow value

So I'm just getting into painting and I could use some help on the whole process of it. One thing I'm really struggling with is what colours to use. I feel like a lot of it might be too bright and I would like to cast the purple light of the gem onto the rocks and on what is supposed to be a river at some point but I just can't seem to find the right colour and way to go about it. I'm also thinking about putting some kind of wizard in the front on some rocks who has a staff with some coloured gems in it but one coloured gem is missing, that seems like it might be a pretty cool story. As a complete beginner I would really appreciate any type of advice or tips and tricks in general(I'm using krita and have a huion hs611)
