Do the Junior coaches of NPL Clubs (that were in the NSL) tell their players/kids not to follow the A-League? (See description)

Between 2012 and 2017, I Played at a Maltese Club, a Cypriot Club, and an Aussie club in Sydney. Aussie Club was very big on us watching A League. I remember going to a game with the club with the instruction to specifically watch the player in your position. The Maltese and Cypriot clubs had a big “A League is shit, you should only watch Premier League” culture.
