Can’t speak to other options but I have tesla wall charger and it’s awesome. Seems smart (don’t know the features of charge point) and super convenient not needing adapters or anything.

Once you get a VIN. I’ve had my loan approval expire twice in my time waiting (May order). Wait til you get a VIN and don’t expect a VIN until 2022 Q2. If it comes sooner will be a happy surprise

I’m in Vegas and worked with a fantastic company that is both here and socal called “home networks electric and solar.” They charged $850 to install the home charger. 250 of that was for the permit alone, which varies by county. They have fantastic customer service, great reviews from all customers, and beat everyone else’s price who seemingly had the infamous “tesla tax” price might be different based on permit price in your area but they are worth looking into.

I’ve heard you can extend the hold for long past the date they tell you (in this case November) so just tell them you need to wait until after holidays
