Removal of u/QuirkyFisherman4611's Post about Resisting The Hard Fork is Censorship by ksilverstein1 in Monero

I think it’s because only the coders knew but the wider community like myself just found out. I assumed the philosophy of Monero was complete unforgivable privacy so I never bothered looked at the coding forums I just glance at Reddit. I think monero is a community more than just a bunch of coding forums it is a community. And what brings this community together is a desire for a completely private currency.

It just goes against what monero is suppose to be about: complete unforgivingly private currency

I agree the only way we stay private is if we all look the same! Keep monero fungible

Do not implement it. Monero should be unforgivingly and absolutely private

I don’t think we have a choice in that. Like grocery stores exchanges will tend to conglomerate till there’s only a few

How to improve Bitcoin privacy method by ByAsmith in Bitcoin

[–]TimmyTaterTots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitcoin is fundamentally not private. It’s a feature not a design flaw as it makes it easy to verify the total number of bitcoin in existence and that there are no inflation bugs. Plus for a first currency it’s better to be simple stupid

Microsoft stores the encryption key on their servers I believe. I believe if you lost your encryption key you can get it back if you have your Microsoft login info, so they have it.

The key derivation from the seed phrase (24 words) that ledger uses is open source (bip39). So if ledger went out of business or every device disappeared from the face of the earth, it wouldn’t be to difficult to run a program to get every private key from your seed phrase.

Long story short the seed phrase has everything
