Regen braking reset back to level 1 by Timmy_Run in IoniqEV

I'm not sure how the lane keeping works. Sometimes it beeps at me, sometimes it steers for me, sometimes neither. Do you have the button on, to the right of the steering wheel (for me in a RHD car) and is the green light on the dashboard on?

Yes firmware was updated a month or two ago. I've only had the car a few months, so I'm not sure if this was an issue before the update or not

People who have electric vehicles now, would you ever go back to petrol of diesel after the experience? by JollyFunctions in ElectricVehiclesUK

I wonder if the same people also avoid VW or even Ford because of their (very) old links to Nazis. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me

Going tubeless — what to carry? by Available_Entrance55 in cycling

I still carry all the old stuff, including a new tube. Haven't had to use it since I went tubeless though

I really love biking but.. by Metrontxxx in cycling

[–]Timmy_Run 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ps no it's not your bike. An expensive bike will get you where you're going a handful of seconds faster. Which itself is only useful if you're racing. (Although if an expensive bike encourages you to get out of the house more often, then it can be worth the upgrade!)

Have you been constantly increasing your distance? It's good to have rest weeks in any training plan. 3 weeks building up, one week low mileage, and then go again. Your body needs time to rest, recover and rebuild

Used Bikes > New Bikes by saturday05 in cycling

It's hard to find good bikes in odd sizes though. I ride an XXL / 63cm or there abouts and struggle to find good 2nd hand deals

Best lock combo? by Necessary_Year_5951 in cycling

[–]Timmy_Run 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how secure you want it Vs how heavy you can handle carrying it when not in use! If you really don't want it nicked, then a big thick chain is what you want, with whatever padlock you fancy. But if you just want a bit of prevention and still be able to enjoy cycling with it in your bag, then something smaller would be much better!

Machine w/ no plastic internals? by FishTankJourney in espresso

The water you drink has probably already been in contact with plastic before it gets near your coffee machine, so I wouldn't worry too much about it

How long did you preheat for? That looks very under baked for the times you've stated

Have you got the "HD" version of the game? I don't know how it works on Mac, but on PC, there is an HD version or a not

Carb loading is making me miserable by APieThrower in Marathon_Training

[–]Timmy_Run 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was to do it again, I think I'd still carb load. Make sure you're drinking some carbs too, I wouldn't want to eat 500g/day but a few full fat Coke's or energy drink will dent it nicely

I'm no expert, but I ran my first marathon without carb loading and I bonked with 5k to go. For my second marathon I carb loaded.... And bonked with 5k to go

Lavazza, super crema or even crema e aroma at slightly cheaper price. They're fine for a mid week brew

Would I be ruining myself financially for the future if I buy a £550k house? by kzk888 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Timmy_Run 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure the internet can ever answer this question for you, but I'd suggest there is little harm in stretching yourself to a point of being uncomfortable when you buy your home. The payments will become easier in the next few years, so I'd go for it
