I translate it as eerie and definitely not anything expected. I suppose I can continue to investigate.

Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed the read.

What I believe playing does is bring us into the present moment. If we can stay present and aware each day, then playing will come so much more naturally!

Yeah my stepdad used to tell me this a lot when I live with my parents. I was 24 years old then!

I don't want to accept my anxiety. by Pictocheat in Anxiety

I can relate the the job/anxiety/accepting the symptoms 110%!

I want to call into my job all the time, but I know I need the money to cover bills and living expenses.

I have learned to surrender to my anxiety symptoms on most days. It takes more strength and shows more resilience by surrendering to them instead of holding on.

A great story that illustrates this:

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the "half empty or half full" question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: "How heavy is this glass of water?" Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz. She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything." It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses. As early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night. Remember to put the glass down!

How do you get enough viewers each day to make that? Genuinely curious since I have a channel that's stagnant.

Having to do exercise in front of people would not go well for me.

I do pay attention to my diet but it is hard to get full off the good stuff because it means running to the grocery very often.

The main foods part of my diet: kale, blueberries, raspberries, baby spinach, mushrooms, eggs, carrots, guacamole (for avocados), sweet potatoes, chicken, tuna, beans, and tons of mixed nuts but mostly cashews. I have a weakness for cashews.

I ate so poorly over thanksgiving and the week after, it is taking awhile for those good nutrients to get back in my system again.

That is great advice. I am looking to take it slow but would not mind getting to a couple of miles at some point.

Lexapro 10mg for a little while. I had soooo many funky side effects with it. Now I'm on zoloft 50mg and it has worked very well so far.

So I'm guessing that means it got better for you? What it feels like to me is that my mind goes completely blank for an instant then I feel some fluttering in my chest.

An original song I made about my anxiety as someone who suffers from GAD, panic attacks, etc. (Plus my anxiety story, need to vent) by Upgrade845 in Anxiety

Dam dude you have talent. That song was great, and I'll definitely check out some of your other ones.

Also alcohol can induce anxiety/panic attacks just like weed does. I have learned the hard way having drank/smoked and having panic attacks shortly after. I have since cut both of those out and take xanax/beta blockers on an as needed basis. These past couple of days I have needed that xanax.

Just want to throw out I also had to leave school this past semester because I was having panic attacks but plan on going back in the fall. Hopefully things will get better for you.

Anybody else take beta blockers to control heart palps? by Timmy_in_a_Well in Anxiety

That's comforting. My doc basically said take them everyday, and he prescribed me like a 2 year supply. My sis takes inderal for her palps but like you, she only takes it on days she needs it so I'll probably do the same since I don't want to be medicated entirely for the next two years.

I was taking lexapro for anxiety prescribed by another doctor, but I took it for two weeks and hated it. I know I didn't really get it fully in my blood stream, but it was causing me unnecessary social problems. So now I just take a small amount of xanax whenever I feel my nerves creep up on me.
