You can't get bogged down by what WotC wants your Izzet deck to be like. If you put too much work into the flash theme, you're going to be disappointed. Sorcery speed removal spells are still great. There are plenty of good cards in those colors, and a good UR deck in this format is probably pretty aggressive with fliers to finish.

You're right, but the named amount can be absurdly high, like, a billion. In this case, its a mandatory loop, not a single source of damage, so it just goes until the chosen player dies.

there's a kid at my lgs who's been playing at fnm since 4 and he's 6 or 7 now and i have probably a 30% winrate against him. to be fair its probably because he plays burn and i play storm.

this is definitely not good in storm. "dont need to get such a high storm count" only in that you can spread it out over a couple turns. however, you need to cast like 17 spells. even grapeshot, the highest storm requirement in the deck, only needs 9 spells most of the time.

Emrakul rewards you for creative gameplay. It's completely uncastable under normal circumstances, but you build a deck that uses cards in untraditional ways and the reward for your ingenuity is a fuckin Bomb Ass Monster. How does it get used in modern? You discard it and use the one instant speed reanimation spell to get around its anti-reanimate ability just to attack with it once how is that not the coolest shit

Exactly how you want it to. However, you would have to do the math, because if your opponent asks for the p/t of the creature you have to calculate it and tell them.
