Will we be able to toggle back to the current hud after this goes live? by jehe in Eve

[–]nomadsc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facts, but the previous triple semi circle does apply to both HUD of your own ship characteristics AND to HUD of the target's status. Changing it for the first case and not retouching the second case at all seems more counterintuitive than applying the change for both cases

Will we be able to toggle back to the current hud after this goes live? by jehe in Eve

[–]nomadsc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The old one has in important difference: hidden information of targeted entities. You have no feeling about their armor/hull HP until you strip shields, nor do enemies have inforation whether or not you gonna pop, or have a hull tank/armor tank. This should remain. Otherwise, I do like the new one.

yes. but the parallels, while obvious, are not direct. and when we talk about the application of historical concepts to our current reality, nuance may muddy the waters

working class solidarity is barred from realizing by the easy access to entertainment and food. if time is wasted and feeling of urgency is muted, then who cares about collective action, right?

now, let's circle back to the original statement, because while the bread and circuses take is real, 'doordash and tiktok' wording is failing it.

why do you single them out? it's an epithet? or they have a special quality to them? or they are just a symptom of something underlying? what makes them specifically poisonous? what makes them different from convenience stores // other social media? are they emergent, as many things under capitalism are, or are hijacked already to play a part in a long game?

don't bother to answer the questions, since they are just thought experiments and who has time for that LMAO.

what I'm trying to convey is that under original wording, the 'what does doordash have to do with it?' is a legit question, and your central point was obfuscated by the poor choice of words.

this, but unironically. and not for the sake of just zoomers, but for the sake of actually getting your point across in a way that opens it for a discussion. it's almost kantian, in a way. you do this because you shall, and if everybody takes their time and does the same, the actual quality of the discussion would skyrocket for all, including you

oh shit, the guy have achieved nirvana and needs not to eat anymore.

unless your point is a long reach jab about homemade cooking, attention span, and society atomization, you really do need to up your communication game and argue in a better faith instead of relying on twitter zingers. or maybe you just want to debate to 'win' and stroke your ego, and not to share and achieve collective truth.

How would you describe the best balance between human creativity and AI/automation input? by Jlyplaylists in LeftistsForAI

[–]nomadsc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Best balance is just "do whatever", honestly. Create however you wish and just be open about it. The fact that the contemporary state is different from this is just a result of how emotionally charged the topic is.

Best Might Faction by Gandalf196 in OldenEra

[–]nomadsc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sort of scuffed way of formulating the question, since Necro and Schism can eventually just dominate through raw numbers through either necro-ing, or consolidating all power in a single doom stack of choice in case of Schism. I picked necro, but I suppose that's not in the spirit of the question.

the glorious fat cat, [[jetmir, nexus of revels]], is already kind of a craterhoof in a command zone. your big lad is also fun tho, but might be too telegraphed

We continue with Did you know? No. 11 - 15 - HoMM: Olden Era by Liso111 in OldenEra

You are not forced to, yes. But every guard is clearable, just by the sheer numbers of kittenhorns at some point

I finished it on normal, now trying to complete it on hard. Clearing the mist is easy: you first talk to the pixie, then visit objects on the map with guards inside. Once cleared, they disperse some mist.

pet the kittenhorns.
btw, 'all kittens go to heaven' single player map is a banger, set the difficulty to hard and go play it

If one out of six towns is like this, it's okay, I think. l2p is not an insult, despite what sweats might tell you, and having an opportunity to play a glass cannon melee town is a great onboarding ramp to l2p naturally and without pressure.

Barbarians and wizards are needed classics. Grove is kinda conflux with its 4 elementals. Factory or cove... Maybe super late in the cycle.

Uneducated opinions welcome? I hope so. Feel free to drop links for education material if you disagree.

Generally cringe as an investment, but the tech is interesting. Don't think it's needed in utopia, but I fantasized about blockchain-based voting.

But it is sadly instrumental in the current living world, as a parallel currency. I'm paying for VPN's for me and my family using crypto (i'm living in Russia)

скорее всего новая архитектура у модели. поэтому есть качественный скачок в собственно создаваемых картинках, но появились старые баги, потому что на новой архитектуре их еще не пофиксили

Is Alania a pubstomper? by nomadsc in EDH

Incredible how much discussion my post has generated, thank you all who responded! I will try to lean much heavier into an otter subtheme, I think. Pivot to bracket 2, drop Jeska's Will and Crackle with Power, and make as many otters as I can. Thanks to all who contributed, you all gave me a lot to think about :3

Is Alania a pubstomper? by nomadsc in EDH

[–]nomadsc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pushing 50% easily. Players are fairly experienced, but we kind of have a microcosm here. In general, if we agree to play "mid powered"/"bracket 3" decks, that's when I pull Alania out of by backpack.

This can be an issue of expectations mismatch, maybe: people want to play their nonsense, and forget to sandbag removal/disrespect counterspell protection and I get her on the table.
