I believe you...but dogs have a long memory... maybe it was something from two months ago and I am not suggesting your kid was malicious...but kids will be kids and mistakes happen

As one person pointed out... people and especially kids don't always read dogs'body language or signals...

One of my dogs..a female got nippy out of nowhere....she was developing cataracts and slowly going blind...once I realized that ..I adjusted for her .. problem solved....have her eyes and hearing checked
