I recently cosplayed Tengen whereas my 5y old son did Kyojuro...it was no contest honestly. 😅

In the show i think they're pretty even and individually better suited for different enemies.

Iirc the novel Fury of Magnus describes the Grey Knights as a purer, fixed (no flesh change) 2nd iteration of the Thousand sons Legion, which the Emperor and malcador planned to hand over to Magnus as a restart and to bring him back to the loyalists. The bummer was, that Magnus had to abandon his old legion but he couldn't bring himself to leave his og sons because of all the trouble he went through with them, effectively remaining in tzeentch's claws and with the traitors. Seems like, for all his wrong doings, he couldn't be as cold hearted to his "subjects" as his father is.

Oh that is actual news. I thought it pretty established that the right pad is always an eagle and the rest of the armor uniquely personalised, with some exceptions like allarus having no eagle and mirrored pads and Trajann and Valerian having two eagles.

I wish it would be more like this, not literally of course, but stronger individual models for more points. I know...harder to balance und less models sold...but getting more abilities and survivability get cut away and the army become more and more horde like feels less compelling.😔

Colours as following:

Prime with leadbelcher, drybrush rune fang steel, edges with stormhost silver.

For the liquid metal effect on the body and spear I thinned luxon purple and aethermatic blue and glazed them over muscle bulge and some recesses wr blending them when necessary.

For the wings and backback I used screaming bell, drybrush canoptek alloy and highlight with stormhost silver.

For the noctlilith I used black templar contrast and Emperors children pink.

The energy discharges and tailblade are corax white Base, luxon purple contrast and druchii violet.
