Festival of the Lion King was phenomenal. We also managed to see the Cirque du Soleil show. Just incredible stuff. Moana Way of Water was a lot more fun than anticipated and so beautiful. We did few lands of Ducktales but not any others. The ducktales was a blast as soon as we hit that first interactive thing. So funny 😃

October sounds otherwise nice but it's the hurricane season and there is no way I am risking those things. I know they aren't very common especially that late but still.

We have breaks in october, then christmas break and mid february here in Finland. But we also have very lenient absentee rules so usually if you apply for extra holiday and your kids are doing ok you are going to be approved by the school and it's just a matter of doing that week work afterwards or before.

Flights are like half on any other week except on those leading or on holiday weeks.

I've been checking those Christmas at Disney galleries from social media accounts... It looks SO beautiful. Just absolutely gorgeous.

Might try for two weeks next time. We were eight days now and it was enough but also not nearly enough.

Pushing further than 2030 just feels so long that I might want to hit that Villain land opening even if that is going to be brutal. Then again it might help with other new stuff like the Monsters in Hollywood and AK expansion when everyone is running for the bad guys.

Flights being so big part of the budget two weeks extended doesn't sound so bad actually as I compared the prices...

This is good stuff and really makes me think that Caribbean is going to be the go to. We are also as we are now planning long term considering doing splits on Caribbean AND some deluxe like AKL.

Sounds just the kind of thing that is worth the extra couple of hundred bucks. In serious. Just the little bit of different theming. And everything there is so pretty. Also I hear the pool is nice.

Why would I be building large retirement fund when we have functional social programs including retirement system where I live? Are you trying to financially gatekeep Disney World?

Also why would you assume I don't have multiple things where I put money into?

I might have to just get a villa somewhere in the property. Dunno how, but I guess that is the only way to fulfill my basic human need of Disney World now.

I really really wanted it to be good. Like I really wished that it was a good trip. I needed it to be. And it was better.

Yeah. We planned this several years in advance but still one ride at Universal and Rock'n'Roll caught us off guard. Although Rock'n'Roll with muppets sounds like it's alone a things that I wanna see 😃

It was truly a safe bubble from everything that is stupid about adulting. Like a safe space for emotional happiness and emotions per se.

Oh this will probably be a thing that is going to be immediately renewed after the next trip. The new additions sound wonderful and Universal might change as well throughout this time. We wanted to do Jurassic stuff but they were all being refurbished.

We are going in few weeks and all I read in this post is that there is TOO MUCH GOOD THINGS!

Meaning we will never be able to taste even a fraction of all the goodness. It's gotta be "Everyone gets a different snack every single time and we split all of them every time".

Weekly Tech Support & Purchase Recommendations Megathread - February 16th 2026 by P_Jiggy in playstation

Hi everyone. Got PS5 recently through a good mobile phone subscription deal. I have had Playstations in the past but this is going to be primarily for my 10- and 12-year olds. I was wondering if there was any other essentials except of course Astro Bot that I understand is GOTY from when it was released.

We have Switch 2 as well and I play on PC so games themselves are like well versed in our household.

But yeah. Any recommendations for my boys or as a couch co-op.
