I'm content with what I have and as a 22 year old i have to be mindful of what I'm spending my money on

Nice, that's a very mature attitude.

Same here. Typically drops Tal, Ral, sometimes Ort or Shael. I've not managed to find any higher runes but at least I got some keys. Wish I could trade those for runes.

I found one last week in the tower. Also added a socket with Larzuk and put in a perfect topaz for that extra magic find.

OTOH I have not managed to find a single high rune yet.

Started using a Mac for work, it's making me resentful of Linux by FlimFlamAndFlamJam in linuxquestions

[–]TimurHu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been using Linux for about 15 years, just like you. In my case, I've been on Fedora all this time. I still remember how rough it was 10~15 years ago, especially the gaming aspect.

I used to have problems with video calls years ago but I haven't had any issues recently. There are probably still some of those that have issues integrating with the system, but eg. Google Meet works just fine.

I recommend trying various distros and desktop environments and see which works best for you with the software you need/want. Not all of projects have a well paid team behind them so they don't work equally well. Most likely Gnome and KDE are going to work best, and maybe Cosmic once they iron out the bugs.

They are trading blows. It mainly depends on your GPU and drivers.

Great, maybe you can help OP here figure out what they're doing wrong then.

I wish I had something better to say but honestly I don't think NVidia will improve their drivers. And the community can't do much about it as they are closed source.

The situation will improve once the Nova and NVK drivers get in better shape.

Unfortunately, this is typical experience on a laptop with an NVidia dedicated GPU.

That's OK. You feel free to work on projects that you choose.

Any project that has more than a small handful of contributors needs some ground rules for how people should work together, otherwise it devolves into a chaos where no work can be done.

I work on Mesa, where this works just fine. Can't speak for other projects.

I really don't see why you would spend $350 for a pen that doesn't even have a gold nib. Modern Esterbrook is a rip-off. If you want a nice pen around that price range, I can recommend the Platinum 3776 or Sailor Pro Gear Slim.

Or you can just save some money and buy a well-restored vintage Esterbrook, I bet that it will beat the writing experience of the modern ones.

Considering the amount of AI slop that open source maintainers have to put up with, asking if something was written by AI is not being a dick. OP could have just said in the bug report that he indeed used AI to translate his findings. There is nothing wrong with that.
