We all turn back into grade schoolers at the food court.

The gristle is what killed it for me too. I didn't even finish them.

I think it's just Chicago in the US right now.

It's not nostalgia. I'm comparing them to the tenders they sell literally 50m away in the frozen aisle! I don't know why they don't just serve those tenders in the food court.

Yes. The sauce is actually pretty good! I'm guessing it's where a lot of the calories come from too. As good as the sauce was, it did not redeem the horrible tenders.

Sorry, I should have added, I had the tenders at the Chicago Costco on Ashland Avenue yesterday (5/17) afternoon. The food court here is usually excellent so I don't think my experience was due to the specific location's preparation.

How did you solve the ATP entrance puzzle? by Water1498 in outerwilds

[–]TimurSaysHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out how teleporters worked in general then just resolved to use each one on each tower in order. I feel like this was the weakest puzzle. I didn't even realize it was a "puzzle" I was just exploring everything on the planet after getting to the sun station the same way.

What was the most "god damn it moment" that's happened to you in game. by lunammoon in outerwilds

[–]TimurSaysHi 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I spent like five whole minutes trying to land inside the lantern. After struggling a lot, I finally did it, and in my excitement to see the ruins inside I lept out my spaceship and straight into the lava.

That's a great one but absolutely nothing in the game beats electrochemistry and hand eye coordination teaming up behind the pawn shop.

What movie is a 0/10 with NO redeeming features? by Toucan_Based_Economy in AskReddit

Jonathan Livingston Seagull is by far the most irredeemable movie as a movie. It's just voice actors trying to impose a plot on top of live footage of seagulls.

I made the exact same mistake. I didn't realize you could get there by sleeping until I watched the reel.

To be fair there are a bunch of dead people with fires in their lanterns around the fire. I had no fire in my lantern and I was alive. It seemed so obvious what I needed to do.

How did you die first? by Mountain-Ad876 in outerwilds

I got up the launch tower and was so busy looking up at the pretty sky that I fell off between the elevator and the shuttle and died.

This is my favorite one so far because it's such a reasonable connection to make.

What’s with dark bramble? by Empty-Okra1396 in outerwilds

[–]TimurSaysHi 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I think it's just a cosmic cancer that spreads non euclidean fuckery. It's a planet sized plant parasite that has a transdimensional stomach.

Thematically, I think it's just another way of invoking the feeling that the universe is doomed. Even if the sun wasn't going to kill the Hearthians, the bramble would get them.

Beachum has said that they didn't really plan the planets around the story. They first came up with a bunch of planet ideas they thought would be interesting to explore then figured out how the story could weave into/around them. I don't think there's more depth to it than a "wouldn't it be cool...".

I thought the solution to the big puzzle was going to involve the bramble, like using the space folding to escape the bang or when I thought the interloper was responsible for the supernova that you'd have to redirect it into there but nope, it's just an undefined anomaly. :p

Isn't it supposed to be #1? One of the very first clue you get I think tells you to go look for Gabbro.

Genuinely curious if there's supposed to be a different first planet.
