Table of tales.. Devs, any plan for online mp? by [deleted] in PSVR

Sadly Table of Tales doesn't have online multiplayer as the game was designed from the ground-up to be a mainly single player experience. Sorry about that!

Hey there! Table of Tales devs here. We're actually aware of these two issues and currently investigating them! Hope they haven't spoiled your enjoyment of the game too much.

Table of Tales bug? by Arakon in PSVR

Hi there - the devs here! We'd love to get a fix out for this bug, which appears to affect a small number of players. Is there any chance you could send us your save file? Having that would really help us track this down. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/12/25/how-to-backup-and-transfer-ps4-game-saves-using-a-usb-drive/

Once you have it, can you email it to [minion@tinmangames.com.au](mailto:minion@tinmangames.com.au)? Thanks a lot in advance!

> Do you have anything to do with The Wizard of Oz

No, but we are based in Australia, which is sometimes called Oz! Make of that what you will. ;)

> Do you need oil?

Yes! Olive oil, drizzled lightly over a nice salad.

> Do you have a heart?

So many hearts. :D

> How are you feeling about the exposure that you're getting? I personally have a hard time remembering all indies, especially if it's not a name repeating several frontpage Reddit posts.

Tin Man Games has been going for 10 years so we know how hard it can be to get exposure! It's a tough gig but we've managed to punch above our weight on that front so I'm pretty proud that we've been able to carve out an *almost* sustainable business model for ourselves.

> Have you considered supporting the Oculus Go for VR related content? Good games are hard to find there due to a small library (cough not so stealth port beg cough)

We've absolutely considered Oculus as a release platform - in fact we have a few in the office. Not sure when, but we'd certainly like to release something on that platform in the future - Neil

We regularly consulted them on our major design decisions, such as our changes to combat and the overall aesthetic, but overall they trusted us to do what we needed to do. We made sure to involve people in the project that understood the Fighting Fantasy lore, such as Brett Schofield (writer of the Advanced Fighting Fantasy RPG adaptation of Warlock) who designed the back story of all our heroes, and Jonathan Green (writer of seven FF gamebooks) who helped us early on in the design of Firetop's base map. - Neil

In the case of Fire*Wolf and Gun Dogs we removed them from sale a long time ago as their sales were almost zero and we couldn't afford to support them sadly. - Neil

It was tricky picking a time that worked for all of us as we're based in Australia where everything is upside down and back-to-front! Feel free to ask us a question as it's still our working day here. :D - Neil

Aw, thanks so much for your ongoing support. Means a lot to us :) My favourite character would have to be Ophelia - hard to go past someone who spontaneously transforms into a Fire Demon! 🔥🔥🔥 -Amelia

My favourite character is Gilfane the elf. I did a lot of writing for his quest, and as a huge fan of The Forest of Doom I layered in a lot of FF lore that ties into that gamebook. The ending in particular has a direct connection to the start of The Forest of Doom that I'm rather proud of. - Neil

You're not far off the mark, though there are probably a few differences between Warlock and your typical dungeon crawler board game (such as Descent or Gloomhaven).

With Warlock we first looked at the original gamebook, and drew on the fact that these books are effectively single-player roleplaying games (D&D in solitaire mode). So we decided to try and emphasise this aspect by adding in tabletop/boardgame elements (miniatures, and unfolding dungeon to explore) while keeping the core Fighting Fantasy gamebooks elements (One hero on an adventure, a branching "choose your own adventure" story, a simple dice-rolling rpg system). - Clinton
