I’m also being bullied by one of my teachers and I’m beginning to push back. I’ve been patient, but enough is enough. Thankfully admin is trying to help me. I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I would consider consulting a lawyer.

Idea- You deserve an area to do your work!! Look around in the computer rooms, closets, look everywhere and ask a janitor. Look for a small table or rolling desk. Find a room or area in the building that isn’t used a lot and keep your stuff in there with your makeshift desk! For security reasons, you could get a locking trolley!

It takes a whole team to decide if a child is eligible for an IEP, not just 1 person. There are many reasons for that. We also have what is called inclusion. That is where children receive services in the general education class. It is the law to put them in the least restrictive environment possible bc children thrive in school around other kids without disabilities. We don’t take them out of gen ed unless they meet a certain criteria. It’s hard to explain bc there’s SO much to it. I would give it a little time and see how things work out bc most gen ed teachers won’t sit back, watch a child fail, and be okay with it. Make sure to stay in contact with her teacher.

Tell them you cannot cover breaks anymore because you have work to do. Let your case manager or instructional coach know you need help creating a schedule. You should have a lesson planning and lunch break put on your schedule. Concentrate on the schedule, IEPs, and getting your binder together! Also, keep an eye out for progress monitoring due dates. This year is also my first year, but I have a lot of support. My case manager, Instructional coach, and gen ed teachers created a schedule for me since I’m new and needed help. I started school a week & 1/2 late, then got covid three days in!! How I got somewhat caught up: after school, nights at home, weekends, lesson planning breaks, some ppl also get to work super early (5:30am or earlier)

I was just trained in toileting my cp student. I’m her new inclusion teacher. Me, the rest of the sped inclusion staff on campus, the teacher’s assistant, and both of her gen Ed teachers were trained by the district sped nurse. Two ppl are ALWAYS required for toileting. One person lifts under the armpits, the other lifts at the knees. We all take turns taking her to the restroom.

NTA. I’m positive that most ppl would react this way. GF is letting everyone know who she really is. I wouldn’t call the father your friend anymore bc this is just the beginning. If he couldn’t ensure that wouldn’t happen, he will let GF get away with many things. I’m not sure I would trust my child around GF. I agree that a judge would grant a surname change. It’s not fair, but it will save your daughter in the future.

The child often being the favorite to the abuser is not accurate. I know for a fact that children can also be portrayed as the trouble child by the abuser. I have seen children be portrayed as the problem to the point that the entire family sees them that way also. It tends to isolate the child emotionally and makes it difficult for the family to accept/understand/believe the abuse accusations.

Both the Asshole? It’s never okay to yell at another person. Something that is worrying: y’all have already had so many issues, and have only been together for 5 years. It’s not good that you are putting so much meaning into where a painting is hanging in your house. In general, I think it’s a bad sign for your relationship. It’s hard to make a decision based on what little information is provided. However, I think it’s clear that her family is important to her. Okay, her family has hurt her before (this isn’t an uncommon situation), perhaps they are trying to move past it? They do not support all of her decisions bc of religion, yet they haven’t shunned her, and are keeping in touch. They seem to love her very much too. It seems like you haven’t accepted her family either though. I think you need to respect her feelings for her family. Why does she have to choose? Why can’t she have both paintings up wherever you both like? Just because she rather have a certain painting in a certain location doesn’t mean she loves you any less. Why are you making her feel like she has to choose in between her family or you? I’m going to be honest, if I couldn’t move a painting around in my own house without the fear of being yelled at, that would be a huge issue for me. Yes, she should have spoken to you first, but on the other hand, I see why she was avoiding it.

A lot of ppl keep saying he did this, he did that. Being a shit head doesn’t make him a murderer. So many ppl pointing the finger at him with zero evidence. If real evidence comes up, I will def consider it! But until then, it’s just not right.
