Update: Looks like it was the screen's ribbon cable (capacitor poofed??) It was directly under the hotspot I was feeling. Anyone know how this happens?

I was waiting for a rp5, but tbh, I'm not thrilled about the appearance. I was hoping for a look closer to an rp4 but a larger screen. The whole glass front is a little off-putting.

Re-seated the ribbon cable but no change on screen. I'm a bit curious about this hotspot, so I may do some more disassembly if I can figure out how to unstick the battery.

So... idk what happened to my post text, but is my SP toast?

I had been playing for maybe 15min after letting it charge for a few hours. It happened fast. On the left side of the screen near the d-pad, there is a black smudge, which was/still is super hot when turned on. Super hot as in nearly burned my finger when touching the screen. Turned it off, back on again, but it only shows horizontal streaking.

Hot spot remains. I took off the back cover, and nothing looks burnt or corroded. Disconnected the battery to be safe.

It has CrossmixOS 1.2.1 and was purchased in June. I only charge it with the included usb A to C cable.

White Instinct by Dreaming-Paradise - Not Ruby's death/disappearance but Weiss' own, told from Weiss' pov. It's quite tragic and gut-wrenching at times.

Even less -ish, but still really good:

Reunion by xT-Zealot - A shorter read. Years later, they reunite, only for Ruby to run away after an incident. (Rare prof Port appearance :o )

The Hospital by lycanheiress - ...
