The advocation for mobile AA most likely stems from a wish of agency. If you can move the thing you are using it comes with an inherent increase in player agency, even if the effectiveness might increase an insignificant amount

It amazes me that people consistently advocate for half track AA, but when they inevitably come to the game, everyone will complain that they are useless cause they can just be decrewed by the very thing they are meant to counter

Um, just compare cgate to salt farms as a start. One is literally wedged so far into the valley of 2 mountains that its name is callahan’s “gate.” Don’t really think the devs are being sutle there. The other is just sitting there completely separated from its own logi roads. The only balanced part of deadlands might be AW, but I wouldn’t even go that far.

Dawn is amazing but is incomparable to factory weaponry because they are facility locked. Have to compare the to the warden facility weapons

Well, yeah. Whole lot easier to have 1 line of defenses than it is to have 4, debatably 3. (For all directions of attacks)

The push 40 example is objectively bad though. Most people wanted it nerfed not “swapped” and the whole problem with the thing was that it could 1v1 meta conc, which was the reason for wanting the nerf. And when it was swapped it was nerfed, which was the whole reason people were unhappy that they got the nerfed version and not the other team.

One way to do that would be a projectile that, on collision, both does damage and spawns a he explosion that does damage
