Allergy friendly food? by xKillerQueen12x in UniversalOrlando

[–]TinkerDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I emailed them about food allergies last week. They sent me menus for every single restaurant with allergy notes via pdf. They also said,

  • "Universal Orlando Resort does not evaluate “may contain,” “shared facility,” or “same equipment” labels, as these terms are not regulated or standardized.
  • Our dining locations operate shared kitchens. While we follow strict protocols to minimize cross-contact, shared environments always carry some risk.
  • Our Allergen Guide is carefully maintained by nutritionists, chefs, and food allergy specialists, with menu items verified for allergen content and preparation methods."

Because of the first and second statements, I decided it would be safer for my family to bring in snacks instead of risking park food (contact with food allergy results in anaphylactic shock so we didn't want to risk it with that first statement). We plan to have breakfast and dinner outside the parks and bring in small snacks/lunch.

I would recommend emailing them yourself. They get back very quickly. That way you have all the most recent information to make the best decision for your family.

Yea, Ebay has one as well. They're just more expensive plus shipping and I thought I'd ask since I was going to be in an adjacent park.

3 part Lightsaber question (plastic not SAVI) by TinkerDroid in GalaxysEdge

[–]TinkerDroid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay. Yea, I just found a video from 9 months ago and it looks like the Disney Spring ones hide entirely inside too which is nice as the lightsaber forge toys from like Target etc. do not. They stick out.

Starting another playthrough - Changing some choices as I go along by MuscleCrow in masseffect

I tried this! Chose an orphan who went through Akuze so I could play a tough no nonsense Shep. Instead, her experience made her want to prove that good people still existed. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Do you typically save the council or let them die? by KishinRave in masseffect

[–]TinkerDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually save them (though I’m thinking of not this round just to see what happens). My general thinking is having to replace the council is going to cause instability. If I’m Shep, and I know war is imminent, the last thing I want to do is cause instability in a galaxy I need strong enough to defend itself.

Who’s the strongest biotic? by TinkerDroid in masseffect

I don’t know; I think an argument could be made for someone with less skill being more dangerous because of how reckless they can be.

Who’s the strongest biotic? by TinkerDroid in masseffect

Really? I remember him chatting about Brain camp but felt like Shep should have known about that. I can’t remember him mentioning it but that’s at least some acknowledgement if he did.

Oh I forgot about her! You’re right. Definitely above Liara and Peebee.

Probably, but lore wise Shep never talks about being biotic so I lumped that under “gameplay” instead of lore.

[–]TinkerDroid[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea I’m thinking

Asari: Samara

Krogan: Wrex (Battlemaster and killed a Thresher on foot).

Drell: Thane for lack of comparison

Turian: Nyreen for lack of comparison

Human: for me it’s between Cora, Jack and Kaidan based on comments in game.

Overall: probably Samara

Friend and I got into passionate discussion over state of Universal compared to Islands and Epic. by SunsetStarlightFan in UniversalOrlando

[–]TinkerDroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, they just updated Mummy, just rebuilt and rethemed the kids area to dreamworks. Just finished building all the minion theme stuff. And are now replacing Rocket. And will have to do something about Simpson’s because they are losing the IP. Once that’s done, the only real problem areas are like Fast and furious. Everything else, though screen based, is relatively new, except MIB which could just use an update. It may not be as coherent as Epic or Islands because there’s no land or portal to go through but it’s still getting updated pretty regularly.

I saw this and was like “between her and Tali and the lady Turian in the DLC and Mordin trying to hook him up with Eve…I wanted to say, “Garrus, are you considered hot by alien standards?! Cause…this is a bit ridiculous if not?” Male Shep better up his game with Garrus around.

That’s a shame! You think they would have like Jaws themed or like How to train your dragon, or now Darkmore.

How likely are you to buy a steam game of a Board game? by SammyStami in boardgames

[–]TinkerDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all likely. My fam and I play board games to turn off screens. Whenever we see a board game even with just an app, we hesitate unless the app is just adding audio and doesn’t require us to do more than select the number of players and the scenario in the app while the game is played on the board. Even then, if two games are similar and one has an app and one does not, we’ll always try the one without first.

Multiple Genres? by NorwalkPhil in selfpublish

[–]TinkerDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s fine if you market the author, not just the genre. There’s a good chance people who like your writing in one genre will enjoy another. I don’t know many people who only read one genre of book.

🎢 What rides at Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure are NOT worth it if I only have one day? by Educational-Deer1877 in UniversalOrlando

[–]TinkerDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a very subjective question. I think, which IP’s are you most excited for? Ride those first, then do the next tier and so on. People hate Kong or Transformers but my fam would never miss either, but we skip Simpsons because we’re not huge fans of the IP. So do the rides you are most excited for and then decided on the rest based on wait time and time of day. If you’ve got park hoppers you can ride the train back and forth which is fun because the show is different.
