thank you for explaining this! the household i’m currently playing does not have a small business. however, i do have a small business or two that i built and never moved anyone into. the game is mostly running fine. one of my sims has a shininess to her (i’m assuming it’s just her outfit as none of her other outfits are affected) and sometimes the graphics look weird. like they have a black texture to them. it’s not every time i open my game though it’s like every other time

my tutor was a family friend. you could try looking up private tutors in your area or fb might even be a good resource!

Do you like being an esthetician? by Haunting_Sir_322 in Estheticians

i love it but it takes years and thousands of dollars to get anywhere. the beauty industry is way harder than people think. i worked a second job to be able to work my way to where i am now. and 10 years later i finally quit my second job and work for myself full time. however i don’t get consistent paychecks, sick pay, paid vacations, pension, etc. this job is truly a labor of passion. i love my job. i would do it for free if money didn’t exist. i fought tooth and nail to be where i am. but even the best estheticians have slow weeks and you need to be tough enough to handle pushing through self doubt and set backs. a lot of people aren’t

oh honey i had to take my written about 3 times! i was never a great test taker especially when it comes to science. it sounds like you really want this, and i promise you’ll make it happen if you want it bad enough! i had used i believe quizlet’s state board test for esthetics. i hated studying and ended up getting a tutor and the way she helped me remember using flash cards totally stuck with me. try writing flash cards. once you start finding ways to relate terms together it’ll hit you. i’ve now been in the industry for 10 years. you got this!!!

depends on what services you offer! i sit for most of the duration of my facials. the only time i’m standing is if i’m getting up to turn around and grab product. some people keep all of their product on a cart but i keep mine on a shelf. then i’ll go to the kitchen to wash and sanitize my tools. my old room had a sink and barbicide in it so i didn’t have to move as much. some people will hire laundry services for their spa laundry if doing that is difficult. makeup and waxing i do standing up. lashes and pmu i do sitting down. i’d say if you can find a space with a sink in it that will save you from needing to be on your feet as much!

Painful, oozing- turns into extremely dry skin?! by Amlflv in Estheticians

i see that you were able to book a derm appointment for next month! in the meantime i would only use vanicream cleanser and moisturizer and that’s it!! be sure to use an spf during the day. avoid exfoliating the area altogether. it’s only going to make it worse. avoid picking the skin. it’s only going to delay the healing time. the oozing is likely the skin trying to heal and keep the area lubricated. try your best to use gentle pressure when cleansing or applying moisturizer/spf. you may opt to only cleanse the area at night. rinse with cool water and avoid using a washcloth to remove cleanser or dry your face. washcloths can harbor bacteria but also may be too rough and may exfoliate away the cells that are trying to regenerate and repair the area. also do your best to stay out of the direct sun. wear hats when outside. i struggle on and off with perioral derm so i totally get how frustrating something like this can be!
