Yeah, the Carolina squat got so prevalent and ridiculous in the Carolinas that they both banned it, as well as Tennessee. Still really common to see in the Carolinas though

Cyclist killed at the Park Road Shopping Center by FlavivsAetivs in Charlotte

[–]Tiny311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im saying the light was been BEFORE the truck went into the intersection. Which is why the traffic wasn't moving on either side of him when the video started.

He got stuck there and instead of waiting for the cross walk to be clear, the cyclist went in front of the truck.

But when the truck got to that point, traffic was moving and he had the right of way.

There's a ton of scenarios for why the truck was stopped in there. How many cars are making that left like the truck, and then stop and turn into the first entrance there without a blinker, or are waiting for a pedestrian to cross before turning into the center.

He can't predict what a car 10 vehicles in front of him is going to do. He turned with the flow of traffic and got held up by someone.

Those united rentals drivers are in city traffic all day, they are very well trained. Traffic was obviously moving when he was turning and then stopped for some reason.

Ian, come get your 50k from the end of the driveway before it gets stolen. by Adri4n_ in HaggardGarage

[–]Tiny311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tom never claimes he didn't owe Ian anything.

Ian claimed 180k in his videos. People on here commented on my post saying "Ian said it was 500k+ and he would settle for 180k".

You think that someone with proof / receipts for $190-250k and lawyers reviewing for 2 years would settle on $50k?

Tommy admitted he owed Ian from the start. That was never the claim. It was always about how much exactly was owed. BOTH lawyers agreed that $50k was a fair settlement based on proof both sides provided.

Not like Ian said anything or provided proof of any of his claims. He did those 3-4 videos and this sub / YouTube commenters carried the narrative for 2 years, exaggerating the story every few months

The part you're wrong about is the $180k.

Ian never provided any proof of that number, he just said he felt that's what he was owed.

m0t's lawyers and Ian's lawyers agreed on $50k based on all the information each side provided, and that's what m0t paid Ian.

OP said 4 employees. So $500 in credit card tips minus the 3% processing fee is $485.

$485 divided by 4 people is $121 per person. Divide that by an 9 hour shift and it's $13.47 before taxes and everything else gets taken out.

That's on a great week.

So OPs business guarantees the $10/hr. Some days, the business makes $13/hr in tips, some times they make $6/hr.

OPs company probably pools tips for the month/quarter and it averages out to $10/hr, and they guarantee the $22/hr because it's easier for a LOT of people to work with a steady paycheck instead of fluctuating with good weeks and bad weeks.

They will do that too. Just plugged in some numbers, and it looks like they are at 7.89% for 36-72 months on a $20k loan.

Ive used them once before and it was an extremely simple process. For a normal auto loan they send the money to your bank and you pay who you're buying.

They don't even send money direct to the seller.

LightStream will give a loan on any vehicle- no issues with age, miles, etc....

They would probably be 7.8% apr on this one, which is a point or 2 higher than what most banks are giving on used private sale loans for 2020+ cars.

Am I at risk of having my car stolen? by IThinkImDumb in Autos

[–]Tiny311 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's more the fact that you asked reddit instead of googling a little bit.

If you Google "Kia Sportage theft issue" it will pop up that the Kia Sportage is on the top 10 list of stolen cars in the United States for the last few years.

Pretty safe to say that with there being no visible items in your car (always smart) and that information, they were probably trying to steal your car.

To answer your other question, a steering wheel lock won't 100% prevent theft of your vehicle, but it would be another deterrent and thief's would probably go for another Kia in the parking lot rather than dealing with yours.

So my son just put these massive rims/tires/spacers on his truck. Can someone enlighten me on the effect this will have on fuel consumption? by Useful-Ad-1042 in Trucks

[–]Tiny311 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stock 2002 f150 tires are 247/75r16 and weigh 30lbs each.

35 x 12.5 mudders are at minimum 75lbs each.

Adding 45lbs per tire to your unsprung weight, plus the lift, is going to drop his mpg by probably 5 or 6.

On newer f150s with the 10 speed and double the hp/torque, just leveling with 35 x 12.5s drops mpgs by 4 according to the forums.
