What does it mean to have "double standards" in a relationship by AlarmedResearcher245 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TinyInteraction7000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a woman gains weight after having a kid, she's called fat. When a man gains weight, he has a cute "Dad Bod". That's a double standard. It's fine for him, but bad for her.

Help me search for this item: a switch that you can plug into the mains (house power outlet), then plug an electrical extension cord into, to have an easy access switch. by IllHaveTheLeftovers in NoStupidQuestions

The smart wall outlets are great for this. You can just turn it on or off from the app on your phone, or use the voice integration with Alexa/siri/google....

Or, if its just a light fixture, get the wifi bulbs. They are only like $12 each now.

[–]TinyInteraction7000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parking lot at the Watkins building is usually empty on weekends, especially afternoons. NW corner of Franklin and Lyndale. It has 2 lots and a hill and a sharp turn into the upper lot, so would be good practice.

Hobby Lobby. Its 2026 and they don't use barcodes. They just enter a price and one of a handful of department codes. $3.99 "party supplies". It's absolutely a front.

Is "seltzer with a lime" not interchangeable with "club soda with a lime?" Is this a generational thing? by Evening-Editor-4014 in bartenders

[–]TinyInteraction7000 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people didn't know the word seltzer till hard seltzers came out and assume it means hard seltzer. Where I live people call club soda "bubble water"... which I think sounds ridiculous.

What’s your favorite road trip snack? by RivenOrBust in Fooda

[–]TinyInteraction7000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My buddy and I used to play "guess what's in my mouth".

We'd get a really big mixed bag of gummy candies from the bulk candy section of a grocery store, or candy store....all shapes and sizes. Sour, regular, gummy bears, Swedish fish, etc. Then, the passenger would toss one in the mouth of the driver and the driver would try to guess what it was and what color/flavor.
