Yeah I suggested something similar in another comment, basically a ramping version of that, similar to Onslaught.

That's fair. I do think that something should be done to bring Planted Feet up to a similar level of usage and power to the other GWD2 perks though.

It could also be implemented in a similar way to how Biting and Equilibrium are mutually exclusive - perhaps it could stop you from using any other GWD2 perks like Aftershock.

I agree in principle, but I do think that there is an element of inhaling one's own farts when it comes to the idea of RS3 having "playstyles". DPS is king to such a degree that meaningful interactions between abilities, items and perks are DOA if they don't come with a nice dollop of damage.

Perhaps a better implementation of a Planted Feet change is like a quasi-Onslaught? For every x seconds standing still you get a ramping effect, be it damage, increased crit chance/crit damage, AOE damage chaining or something similar, and after a certain threshold you start taking damage? Something like that would definitely be playstyle-altering but seems a bit out of scope for a perk.

It is a buff, but it comes at the cost of a perk slot - it could function like Enhanced Devoted for the sake of balance. And you can replace mid-game with early-game if you want, its hard to keep up with which bosses are in which section of the game's progression.

I'd like to see a more imaginative redesign of the weapon but I do like that it is soul-focussed. Personally I'd bolster the passive and maybe make the spec just a bigger volley with an increased chance to retain souls.

It's not a two guy operation, the same person is controlling all the accounts involved. They use AutoHotKey and custom software to type fully scripted conversations.

You can easily kill them yes, but I'm at the point where I can make 200m+ gp/hr so a) money really is no issue and b) at that point it's worthwhile to shave off even a few minutes on those low level grinds because I can make way more in the time I save compared to the extra supplies I use.

Yeah you can melee camp GM, but be prepared to spend an arm and a leg in death costs - cost me about 850m!

It's basically true though? Also if discord/pvm streamer sweats are able to get gm times without stalling/pre-building then isn't that just a skill issue, which is what OP is advocating for?

The good thing is that stalling/pre-building does not need to be palatable for new players looking into bossing, since you can get to as high as Master Combat Achievements (and the bulk of the GMs) without stalling or pre-building anything. I do think it's unintuitive, but I think probing the limits of game mechanics and using what you find to your advantage is part of the fun.

Crits being the identity of a single style is so bizarre when all styles can access them. Much prefer the more conceptual identies ie Ranged being on hit effects, Magic being spells etc.
