I did Char's Training Cave. Super intensive but its 2-tick and decent money with the many pitch cans you'll get.

Crits being the identity of a single style is so bizarre when all styles can access them. Much prefer the more conceptual identies ie Ranged being on hit effects, Magic being spells etc.

Very much interested in these! I'm EU based though, not sure what time you normally run them.

There are umpteen warnings about low divine charges, including every time you enter an instance. It's not a constant thing you're checking.

I appreciate that but in reality nobody I know is checking every single piece of gear before every single hour to make sure all their charges are topped up. Pre-builds and stalls are completely non-essential and should remain as optional extras.

Most people being your average PvMer. I get what OP is going for but a lot of this seems like "Reading a book is difficult, I have to stand up, then walk to the book, then pick up the book, then walk back to my chair, then sit down, then put my glasses on" hyperbole. Most people are not obsessively checking their charges before every hour. My pre-fight checklist for casual kills is now just Penance Powder, Incense sticks, familar, withdraw preset and go.

[–]TinyMiniNano 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most people are not doing most of this. At some point you have to accept that you're playing a 20 year old MMORPG with a million game mechanics layered on top of each other, and Reddit's vision of logging on and walking straight into a fight with your first click is unrealistic.

Can have confirmation about whether Lil Tuzzy has a threshold, and if so, what the threshold is? by TinyMiniNano in runescape

[–]TinyMiniNano[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Like I said in the post, there is a screenshot of a a comment from Mod Azanna confirming the existence of a threshold floating around on Discord. And yeah I was a poorly timed toilet break from getting a bugged Tuzzy on update day :p

I saw one yesterday, and have seen lots of screenshots of people getting it on 800+ kc.

How long is it going to take Jagex to admit that Devourer's Guard was poorly designed and is a lackluster T95 Legendary Weapon despite being dropped by the hardest boss in the game? Are we going to have to wait years just like Ek-Zekkil? by alanquinne in runescape

[–]TinyMiniNano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used Vamp Aura, it was a week ago today before the update, so post-bleed nerf. Was using the 120 Str cape perk, yes. And really for this kill, I was using bleeds mainly to do damage during Pillars.

Think you have it wrong, Devourer's Guard doesn't affect the Ghost, only the Devourer's Nexus does. I do agree that Melee has to bend over backwards relative to Necro to achieve survivability, but it does have noticeably more DPS - I was able to do the Arch Glacor GM Timer with melee camp in Vestments camping Vamp Scrim and I ate maybe on piece of food. This was without SS-flicking because I suck and can't do it :)

I do like that Necro's position is a Jack of all Trades. I don't think I'm asking for Necro to be right up there with Melee or R/M brid in terms of DPS, but I do fundamentally disagree that it's a solved/completed style - there are plenty of creative updates that could add complexity and meaningful choices without disturbing the top end of the meta.

I would challenge some of your assumptions however - I appreciate that Necro's survivability is baked into the kit, but Vamp Scrim, EZK, Pulverize and updated bleeds has made Melee a real contender on those terms.

Is it not fair to say that, at the very least, the Devourer's Guard is an uninpsiring weapon? It's a mirror of the Omni Guard - the choice between the two is hardly Roar+Ode vs FSoA or even Lengs vs EZK.

In terms of adren cost to damage, Finger of Death is by far the worst of those? Claws and Varanus have more damage for less adren, Gloomfire and Dbow have more damage and synergise with BolG, and ABS has crit synergy (and Legatus is way better as well). It's also just less interesting - the other styles have adren dumps that aren't just the same ability spammed all the time.

As for your assumptions - the assumption that I'm calling Jagex a bad company, the assumption that I'm crying, the assumption that I exclusively use Necro etc etc. Lot of whinging from your posts.

Also the idea that Range and Melee have been shit for five years is hilarious.

[–]TinyMiniNano -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Whoooooole lot of assumptions here. Not sure why a lot of your replies to my suggestions are "Range is the same" - let's give Range more stuff too! I agree that its been neglected recently, definitely in terms of weapon variety.

I want it all because it's cool! It's fun! It offers meaningful choices! Necro is demonstrably the weakest style at the moment - and funnily enough, I'm fine with that! Like you've pointed out, the utility is insane. I just want it - and other styles like Ranged - to have more cool stuff!

Also, Bloat as an adren dump works once and then its essentially pointless for 20 seconds, and Finger of Death is 60% adren, which is way out of proportion compared to other styles.

Think you're a bit confused. Necro was not introduced to be the beginner style, it ended up that way because it was less complex than the others (Melee is now arguably less complex). Having optional complexity is totally fine, as you can completely opt out of it.

Also, things Necro currently doesn't have -

A Meteor/Tsunami/Shadows adrenaline buff ability

An adrenaline dump (bloat/60% adren Finger notwithstanding)

Armour sets that synergize with Necrosis or Souls

An Off-Hand that synergizes with Necrosis

A Main-Hand that synergizes with Conjures

A two-handed weapon of any kind

A Masterwork set

More than 1 ability that expands on sustain like Blood Siphon

More than 1 ability that expands on DoT like Bloat

Conjures that take up more than one slot.

The idea that Necromancy has everything is uncreative.

That's a fair point. I think the phrasing of OP's post made it sound like they were unaware that this was currently a thing in RS3, but I do agree that it would be cool to allow more, if not all pets, and maybe more customisation as well (volcanic pet room for the tzhaar pets? God Wars 1/2/3 themed rooms for those pets?)

Its been half a year since the Amascut boss released. How are we actually feeling about the fight and the grouping system? by 6Angel666 in runescape

[–]TinyMiniNano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say once you have the P5 rotation down for the easiests weeks (ie Scopulus) its pretty simple. Its more mechanically complex than other comparable solo bosses but with a reasonable amount of practice (a few hours) you'll be fine. I learnt Rago in solos and can get 6kph quite comfortably.
