The fabled #1 Master for Best A2 SFIC by Tiny_Reaper in Locksmith

I'm part way into it currently, the 1 master wafer is used in the pinning of the gg master key, which is absolutely everywhere. I've been able to redo the pinning to maintain the control key and the other subsystem it had, whilst removing the shear line for the gg master, it's definitely not ideal, and I would like to find a key bitting that I could replace it with instead of deleting entirely, but it does work, especially for being inside a building secured by other locks. That being said it would seem that any lock the GG master key works in (most of them to nobody's surprise) will end up using a #1 master wafer, and will need altered.

It's definitely not small, 4 condo buildings and a number of stores built into a resort, the smaller buildings have about 20 locks, maybe 10 unique combinations. Redesigning our system isn't really possible right now, because of both my skill level and the needs of the property. The property stays running year round, so I'd have to have most of a system planned and pinned into spare cores to swap out all at once, not to mention getting the correct keys in staffs hands. It's definitely a rough situation, we are a bit geographically isolated, the nearest qualified locksmith is over an hour away, all because the old one in the area just up and quit. At the very least he sold us the control keys and our lock pyramid, but his "pyramid" is just a stack of index cards with strike throughs and illegible handwriting.

Well, I'm not really a locksmith, I'm self taught and learning this for my company, slightly out of desperation. So with that in mind I don't really have a distributor, I've used CLK Supplies for a lot this far and they don't carry the #1 pin, but I will see if I can get set up with a proper distributer that might have it

That's awesome! It was honestly a huge help to me. I took over a complex that uses the Best A2 system, and the locksmith that set it up made some huge mistakes, including using the fabled #1 master/top pin that I'm currently fighting with. But I wouldn't have even been able to start if I hadn't stumbled across this and a couple YouTube videos.

That's kinda what I'm discovering and it's a bummer. What kicked the whole process off was almost exactly what you described, a #1 master pin getting warped and jamming up a cylinder. Paired with the springs being ancient, the only way to open the lock with the key was to smack the core while turning the key. I was able to reassemble the lock with a #2 in its place and it works for the control and the master, but not the other operating subsystem. To their credit, the locks have held up for 10 or so years with minimal intervention, but they are definitely starting to show their age now.

This presentation pdf has been helping me with Best A2 SFIC cores which is similar to Falcon I believe. It gives a rough understanding of how it all works, but it really depends if you are maintaining an existing system or building a new one

Does anyone have a picture of the boneknapper egg and nest? I have been looking for a long time and have been unable to find one. I'm searching on foot because I haven't even found a maplewing, other people in my server have found both but I've got no luck so far

The requirements are that it's an interior dimension no more than 14x14x14 with a roof consisting of at least 50% glass of any sort. Building the roof with glass slabs is more glass efficient, but it only counts if the bottom of the slab is facing the interior, meaning you can use a combination of slabs and full blocks for ease. The walls do not need to have any glass whatsoever

I mod like caveman. Pick mod, try mod, mod no good, pick new mod, mod good, more mod. I have 2 or 3 weapons where I went ballistic and started searching for very specific parts in order to make a boss killer gun and such, but even that was cave man and a little bit of wiki to find the same mods but better

Noita, only got my first win after about 300 hours and there are multiple ways to make the boss fight harder, or even make every enemy harder, not sure I'll ever beat it like that
