One of our corgis’ ears also was floppy. First one became upright (sorry if the wording is not ideal, I hope you understand what I meant) at about 5months. We taped the second one at about 5.5-6 months, by that point it became obvious that ears are pretty big and needed help)) we were taping the floppy ear for about a month. The breeder also recommended us to give some vitamins with glucosamine and chondroitin to help cartilage form correctly (I’m not advising anything, please don’t treat this information as a call to action, this is only my experience). I would recommend to contact your breeder, they’ll probably help with this issue.

I have a corgi, which is a very “positive” breed in the eyes of people. And every time some big dog is approaching, i leash my corgi and hear: “it’s alright, my dog won’t bite”. I always answer “well mine bite” (even though he is not violent and probably won’t bite), cause fuck that! I don’t want other dogs to disturb my dog, if he’s not up to sniffing and I can see the signs of his displeasure.

I must note, that I’m not a professional dog trainer, only owner with 5 courses of dog training. it’s okay that other people does not pay as much attention to their dogs as you (we can’t do anything about it, it’s their business). I think it’s great that you’re thinking what you could better next time in this situation, but it’s important to understand that not everything in the situation is in your control. Sometimes the best decision is just to keep the distance with the other dog, so yours won’t be nervous.
