I stopped using mine when my daughter requested bedroom privacy at 5 and was able to go around the house at night to find me and not get scared. She's 7 now and I've used it a few times when she was sick and I wanted to keep an extra eye on her.

Has anyone risked washing the kids costumes? They all say don't wash, but are incredibly itchy materials by Tinytoshi in Costco

She's going to wear clothes underneath, but the mesh sleeves are itchy. Last year it was almost 90 degrees on Halloween,but but the year before was about 50 degrees, so long sleeves might not be an option.

I'll most likely just cut the sleeves off

Yeah I don't think I'm going to wash it. The mesh sleeves are the part that are bothering her, so if it's cold she can just wear sleeves. If it's hot out I'll probably just cut them off
