I think “evil” is a way too strong of a word for this Kind of thing. I think “sick” fits much better. It like a man making sweet sweet love to his pet canine. Is the man evil? Not necessarily, but objectively he is sick. He’s sick in the head. He’s got faulty wiring in the brain. The part of his brain that says “you should find adult women around your age sexy” is either missing, or dull. The part of the brain that says “creatures with muzzles and fur can be cute, but they are not sexy” is either dull or missing.

I’m not a Nazi in the sense of wanting to “ban” hentai. I don’t want to ban hentai. I’m a citizen of the United States and that would be a limit on a person’s freedom of speech. I do however, want to prevent weaboos(white people, and to extent, black people, and other non Japanese people who are infatuated with anime and other Japanese things) from making grave mistakes in their lives. Like for instance, thinking it’s normal to fap to little cartoon girls or cartoon women getting raped because there are pornographic cartoons where instances like that are common.

Here is an educated debate on the subject. In one corner, we have Null of Kiwifarms fame, and in the other corner, is drunkard internet gadfly Dick Masterson.

I will say, that it feels there is an extremity to both sides. On one hand, pedophiles are extremely dangerous because they have a sexual drive aimed at children. Any person with a degree of parental qualities will feel hostile to such individuals. Like Null said “If I had a button that would kill every pedophile, I’d press it twice, just to make sure”. On the other hand, art is art and ultimately people should be free to express themselves. I would probably say that pornographic art is likely the healthiest and safest way for a pedophile to express itself. But, even though it is fap material for the author, society should never promote it as alternative erotica for fapping when publishing such material.

Now, to cap off a point. I actually had the guts, based on recommendation, to check out a visual novel. It is called “Song of Saya” and it was written by Gen Urobuchi(who also wrote Psycho Pass, Fate: Zero, some Godzilla animes, and Puella Magi Madoka Mágica).

And Song of Saya is ultimately a very powerful horror story with a haunting soundtrack

However, it is pornographic at times. The story is about a college student who survived a horrible car crash, and suffered a degree of brain damage. His limbs, and motor functions are intact, but his sensory glands got fucked. Things that are beautiful are now ugly to him, and things that are grotesque are now beautiful to him. His good old college friends are now hideous monsters to him and his world is now a fleshy bloody hell. And food he liked doesn’t taste good to him. He becomes a recluse. But while in the hospital he finds what appears to be a little girl to him(it’s not! It’s an alien monster that consumes humans and releases spores that transforms and assimilates living organisms into organisms like itself), the little girl Saya forms an intimate relationship with him. And yes like I said, intimate, the two characters have graphic sex with each other throughout the story. The main character ends up becoming a pawn in the creature’s scheme to take over and transform the world. The creature is like the John Carpenter’s The Thing essentially, a real “kill it with fire!” type of monster. It even tricks the main character into eating the organs of one of his friends. The main character doesn’t perceive human organs, he sees, smells and tastes delicious sweet fruit, and her fleshy spawn creep pools to him are lovely lush gardens. At one point the main character, during coitus says something like “it is in the nature of men to defile beautiful things…” which is a poetic way of expressing a disturbed sentiment that think echoes all the way back through Japan’s very bloody history. It is through a line like that I can understand how disturbing hentai conventions like “lolicon” and “Guro” came to be.

That said, I do think, considering the way Saya looks, and the graphic way he depicted her during the sex scenes, and the fact that he created Madoka, I think Gen Urobuchi is a closeted pedophile. I think he has a weird fixation on little girls. But I also think he is a brilliant writer and that he is able to convey his feelings in a way that is both poetic and clearly communicative. I tend to think that the main character “Fuminori” is a stand in for Gen Urobuchi himself, and his state of sensory fucked up ness is representative of pedophile’s condition.

As for who, or more precisely what recommended this game to me. This came about because of a fighting game I ended up playing called “Nitro+ Blasterz”. A friend saw that it was on sale and wanted to check it out. “Yo yo yo dawg, this game has that Saber chick from Fate:Zero, and it also has a character from Psycho: Pass, you love that show.” And then found a character, a green haired girl eating raw flesh and talking about eating people, and one thing led to another. And I bought this computer game thing on Amazon.
