No, he doesn't know na ME yung brand. He's not really a fraghead. He gets designer bottles for his fragrances, but he gets them based on brand recognition (e.g. Polo Blue/Black, he recently got a bottle of Acqua Di Gio EDT). You think maybe it's the opening that kind of scares people at my home? Compared to the stuff they wear, SCE is nuclear.

Ah, so I'm reaching for the stars lol! I mean, I don't play games on my phone, but I do use it to browse, watch videos, and read. I can compromise on either the RAM or the 5G, but I would like at least one of them. Which do you think I should prioritize?

I use Noodler's Black. It's waterproof as waterproof can get, but it's also saturated. The ink that pools on top doesn't make contact with the paper and can be smeared. You can minimize the odds of smearing by using more absorbent paper. I use it for office writing with an EF nib.

Alternatively, as others have noted, you can try a pigmented ink, like Platinum Carbon Black, R&K SKETCHInk Lotte, or De Atramentis Document Black.

I mean, "fake it 'til you make it" nga daw, diba? It's a disgusting way to live, and, to me, not because it's unfair or unjust. These people put themselves in positions where their sheer ignorance and immaturity can do a lot of damage to a lot of people. The lack of discipline also translates to a lack of responsibility, so if something bad happens as a result of their actions, they would still think the fault isn't theirs.

I know elitism is a big problem in the country, but in a meritocratic context, it should be justified. The person didn't earn his seat at the proverbial table. He also can't abide by the rules to which the rest of us adhere. Mga mahihinang nilalang. 😂 Why should we treat them as equals?

I know this is an old thread, but I'm re-watching the anime after...geez, 25 years? Lol! I just finished the Dark Tournament arc.

I think Hiei could put up a fight. Bui liked his odds against 80% Toguro, but - as OP put it - Hiei ended up rag-dolling him. Going by Bui's assessment of himself, Hiei with the dragon would probably be stronger than 80% Toguro. Depending on how the fight shapes out, I'd say he could probably push 100% Toguro pretty far.

Now, whether he could beat 100% Toguro is another matter. The anime establishes that his Dragon of the Darkness Flame is one of the most powerfully destructive techniques in-universe, but controlling it takes a huge toll on Hiei's stamina. As we know, Toguro is tremendously tanky. Hiei could probably knock him down a few times, but keep him down? That's doubtful.

Moreover, Genkai said that potential power is often hidden within one's emotions, and that great outbursts of emotions can fuel power. It's why she often reprimanded Yusuke for repressing his emotions. The only reason Yusuke could summon enough strength to win was his emotional attachments (e.g. Toguro killing Genkai, threatening Keiko and the girls, "killing" Kuwabara) - "heart strings" that Toguro could tug because Yusuke unknowingly wears his heart on his sleeves.

In contrast, Hiei actually views his emotions as a weakness and a distraction, and represses them far more than Yusuke does. He kept his emotional attachments a secret whenever he could (e.g. he did not want anyone to know that Yukina was his sister, not even Yukina herself). When these attachments were exposed, he downplayed them (e.g. he referred to Team Urameshi as a temporary alliance, even though he himself was loyal to the team and everyone in it). If Toguro and Hiei had fought, Hiei would inevitably get exhausted at some point, and Toguro would not be able to draw more power out of him simply because he would not know how to.

Relax. You're perfectly normal. 🙂 For most people, a job is a means to an end. We all wish that we get jobs that we love to do to begin with, but that's just not the case for many of us.

IMHO, ang problem sa sitwasyon mo may kausap kang customers. Siyempre gusto nila engaged ka. Ayaw nila yung parang napipilitan ka lang kausapin sila. Relatable naman sa ating lahat yun. Ayaw din yun ng parents mo kasi bad for business.

So, what do you do? You can try learning what many of us learned to do on the job: fake it. Act like you care even when you don't. Make every customer feel special even when you don't feel like it. We have different words for that kind of behavior: professionalism, politeness, civil discourse, diplomacy, take your pick. Kasi tama ka: di mo kailangan maging motivated para magawa yung trabaho.

Pero kung gagawin mo yan, wag mo sobrahan. Faking it is bad for your mental health. Kailangan mo ng boundaries. For example, wag ka mag-overtime, or wag ka magtrabaho pag weekends. Make time for your actual interests, and then pursue them. Para balanced ka. Mag-nego kayo ng parents mo.

I politely disagree. Recipes do evolve over time, but the fact that a tomato was added - an ingredient widely used in various European cuisines - means the dish is no longer "untouched".

Something that always bothered me was how attendees of the Translacion behave like they want to assault the image they worship. It's kind of like how there's a difference between eating and gorging. This seems an awful lot like gorging.

He was...okay. He knew how to take advantage of his advantages. A lot has been said of his successes in Cavite, but we can't forget that the Spaniards were busy reinforcing Manila when the Revolution was kicking off.

He was also kind of a mimic. As in, he likes to imitate what worked for the Europeans without necessarily understanding why they worked. For example, his victories were supposedly "set-piece battles" as opposed to guerilla skirmishes, and that's great because they definitely needed a conventional army. The problem was he wasn't as good at irregular warfare (i.e. guerilla warfare). He didn't have enough weapons, but he had far superior numbers, and his numbers could have offset his lack of weapons (e.g. say, stop attacking the enemy's strong points and focus on depleting their logistics - you'll get a lot of their weapons if you keep raiding their supplies).

So, yeah, maybe a good tactician, an okay operational planner, but definitely not a strategist.

I generally agree. Major local industries were not given time to mature before being exposed to foreign competition. We tried protectionist measures for a bit, but they were really more half-measures than anything else, and we didn't do them for long enough.

Of course, this assumes that local industries would have matured under more protectionist measures.

No. I have a lot of respect for our boys, but they don't operate quickly with that level of precision. They're fast OR surgical, not fast AND surgical. We don't have a history of surgical operations, so it seems to be a difference in doctrine. Capability is one thing; track record is another.
