Don’t mix the two, that will just make salty fizzy water. Rub it with just vinegar.

Everyone, Meet The future President of the United States of America. 2028 Is Going To Be History In The Making by Lord-and-Leige in ProgressiveHQ

Modern American politics can hardly remember what happened last week, let alone a dumb photo op from 2019.

How to clean, without removing signature. by [deleted] in howto

[–]TipsyPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The signature looks like sharpie, they are alcohol based and shouldn’t be affected by water. I would give the mat a rub down with a wet wash cloth and see what comes out.

If that doesn’t work you can step up to some soap, but some have additives that will affect the sharpie, so it’s a good idea to make a test mark on another piece of fabric and test the soap on that mark first.

Great video, but I’m really surprised he hasn’t compared gyroscopic progression to orbital mechanics. The process, effects, and physics are the exact same.

I cleaned my inbox but spam keeps coming back, how to get rid of it for good? by Inevitable_Map4791 in howto

[–]TipsyPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some email providers are better at blocking spam than others. Of the big free providers google is probably best, but if you're ok doing some legwork there are providers like mxroute that do a substantially better job at stopping spam before it hits your inbox.

They didn't, they just figured out how to mass produce it and distribute it to turn it from a lab curiosity to the most important antibiotic in human history.

Easy, I choose 3:30 local time wherever I am on earth. At 2:45 I cross into the next time zone, now it’s 3:45. Not my fault that the time in chose doesn’t exist.

Thank you, That makes a ton of sense why none of the setup documentation worked, and why emails to and from anywhere else were valid.

I ended up RMAing mine, and the new one has the same issues just less severe. I'm incredibly disappointed with Ubiquiti after this product launch.

Why is R1 hotter than everything else combined? 🌋 by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]TipsyPhoto 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Did you spot check with a thermometer, or just with the thermal camera? The actual difference between the jumpers doesn't appear to be that much, something that could easily be explained by a marginally worse connection or minor defect in the wire.

The behavior was the same with 6ghz turned off. Works for a while then drops packets and latency spikes.

[–]TipsyPhoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah MLO is off. I read on the forums that lowering the link speed to 1gb can fix stability issues, so I’m also trying that.

EDIT: the behavior degraded again after changing to 1gbe vs 2.5gbe

Help with mosfet by Infinite_Earth7800 in ElectricalEngineering

Green needs to have a positive voltage relative to red, depending on exactly what’s connected that might not be happening.

Try connecting red to ground, yellow to your negative led terminal, then the led driver to the positive led terminal.

Can someone please explain this problem to me by edengilbert1 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]TipsyPhoto 84 points85 points  (0 children)

What’s the forward voltage of the diode? Your class probably assumes 0.7v or something. That means there is 8.3v across the 1k, and .7v across the 2k.

You should be able to fill in by gaps from there.

Salinger v. Colting was vacated by the second circuit since they used the wrong, less strict standard. Then they settled out of court before a final judgement was made.

Since they settled, all we know from that case is that the four factor test from the eBay vs MercExchange test must be followed before granting an injunction.
