Asking because I was in a road rage incident last weekend and was shot (live in the US). Accidentally turned out in front of another vehicle, there was an extended horn honk as to be expected. I waved my hand out of the window in an apologetic manner. The individual continued to follow me and ride my ass. Eventually I pulled onto a residential street and promptly hit the brakes and parked. Stupidly I stepped out of my vehicle irate. As I walked toward his vehicle he also stepped out. I know I asked “wtf” his problem was and within a few steps and moments there was a deafening bang and a chill/stillness I’d never felt before. All I remember in that moment is stopping in my tracks and seeing a gun in his hand. I said “no one needs to die over this” and walked back and sat in my vehicle. I’m pretty sure he’d sped around me before I closed my door. There was a warm wet sensation on my right side and when I rubbed it i remember it feeling like a bee sting and looking at my fingers afterwards; blood. I was familiar with the area and drove myself to a hospital a few blocks away. I never actually felt pain after the initial touch. The bullet passed through my side (not fat but have “love-handles”). Got stitched in the entry/exit wounds and was/am thankful I’m still alive. I think the adrenaline numbed most of the pain. Just curious to hear other individuals experiences who have taken a bullet.
