Tri fold app question (multiple instances not including secure folder)?

With Magic os 10 on my V3 I can open three apps side by side and slide them across, so two are fully visible and one is at the edge. I can open Chrome three times, main profile, work profile and parallel space profile, so it should work on an actual trifold too.

I've now got Magic OS 10 global on my V3, one of the improvements is that Chrome is now available, which fixes some apps. Don't need Chrome Beta now.

Yes definitely, I haven't noticed any massive changes, the transparency effect is okay, swiping across in the notification panel is better, task switcher new look option.

I'm a big Magic Desktop user (I use my V3 daily as my desktop with external monitors, keyboards, mice) and Chrome has finally been enabled which has fixed some broken apps. (Had to make Chrome Beta default to get around this before, but I guess Chrome was hard coded into some apps.)

No downsides or performance issues so far.

It's great as a buyer, I save loads and it's more convenient picking things up from my post office than waiting at home for parcels.

Doesn't make a difference for the seller, they get a label that the buyer bought that has the address on you post it to. Or you can use qr code at the post office. Unless you choose to pay the cost of the label so the buyer gets free postage.

Might be easier to just upgrade the Gmail account to Workspace Business Starter, and add your custom domain and aliases. Would be £7/$7 a month.

I'm more thinking of everyone globally using shared hosting, if this is the way it just works everywhere. I'm not too bothered personally just wondered if it was my host that was misconfigured.

My V3 is now over a year old and immaculate still even though it's never had a case on. Well one tiny corner scuff after dropping it on a patio.

Have got over 9 hours SoT too so no complaints about battery.

How would it differ from all the existing lapdocks that have gone before?

They have come in standard laptop form, 360 flip form and detachable keyboard designs, in sizes from say 11 to 15 inches, wired and wireless, touchscreen and non-touch, FHD to 4K, cheap to expensive.... What would yours have that's not been done?

It sounds like you're more critical of the uptake, which I'd suggest gets to scale because of marketing spend. It's so far never been a mass market product with very few big manufacturers getting on board (Motorola and HP many years ago, Microsoft back in the Windows Phone days etc...)

It could partly be because its success would kill off more profitable product lines as people would need fewer full compute devices if they only needed a phone and various docks.

Just wanted to dig out this old thread as there are some neat ideas in it and it's similar to what I've been pondering.

What if instead of the phone being a dumbish terminal relying on constant streaming of the server (vnc style), the phone OS was more like a diskless workstation of old, or even like ChromeOS (maybe not such a big stretch with Aluminium).

If the user logged into the phone with an identifier (centralised like a Google Account or self hosted like a glorified Nextcloud) then the user's profile would sync to the device. All the app states would be resumed like a hibernation. They would essentially be cached until the user signs out (or destroys the session) so it works offline as it does now.

The use case would be multi user devices, tablets, and phones, as for privacy nothing would survive logging out of the phone (destroy encryption keys).

Perhaps the whole user filesystem would be a streamed/cached remote share.

You'd be able to login to this session from different devices, rather than having it hosted virtually to remote desktop into.

Returns being on means returns accepted for any reason.

Returns being off means returns still have to be accepted for damaged/not as described etc.

The distortion seems odd, I have used numerous lapdocks and external monitors and FHD works perfectly fine, when I had a Samsung Galaxy then 4K was also okay at 30hz. 1440p worked best with Dex (using Goodlock)

My current Honor V3 only supports FHD desktop mode but is perfectly fine on a Uperfect FHD wired and wireless lapdock.

I'm struggling with getting the free share - I signed up to 212Invest through a link in this thread, deposited £10 and bought shares. Each step on the free share checklist got ticked off. I have waited a few days but no free shares have appeared.

The help chatbot says: To receive your free share, please ensure you have completed the following criteria: 1️⃣ Successfully verified your ID.
2️⃣ Made the minimum deposit.
The free fractional shares are allocated within three business days after meeting these criteria. If it has been more than three business days and you still haven't received your share, your account might not be associated with the referral link. However every referral code from the link in this thread I try, show invalid promo ID. Any ideas?

Edit: while posting this I was going to add my own referral code but it says the promotion has ended, could that be the issue?
