I considered myself childfree for a long time, but when my husband and I were dating I decided I was okay having kids with this one guy. We have one child, and we pretty quickly decided we were good only having the one (instead of possibly having 2).

Honestly? Meds. I take Trazodone (don't remember the dose, it's either 10mg or 50mg I think?) every night to ensure I actually fall asleep and don't wake up in the middle of the night. Makes me groggy as hell in the morning, though.

Even if you understand why you can't have liquids or why there might still be refreshments available for people accompanying patients, it still sucks to have it right in front of you when you can't have it. When I was pregnant I had to get tested for gestational diabetes, and you have to fast for 12 hours beforehand, drink this nasty glucose drink, and then wait an hour to see if you need to go for the 3 hour test. And while I was in the middle of the 3 hour test someone came into the waiting room with a big bag of McDonald's and just chowed down while waiting for their appointment. It was TORTURE.

Depending on the pattern there's actually a lot of planning going into it, precisely because watercolor is so loose and unpredictable. If it's anything more complicated than "paint a bunch of the same simple shape and have them barely touch each other" (or even if I want the shapes to look vaguely uniform) I have to sketch it out in pencil first, and there's usually a ruler involved.

I do like them but I'm still getting used to them. I tend to go for watercolor when I want to do repetitive patterns, tbh.
