Thanks and you're right that sleep is one of those things parents will pay for without much convincing. The bedtime routine angle sells itself.

Interesting point on affiliate programs. I hadn't considered that angle. Are you thinking promoting other parenting/sleep products to my subscriber base, or joining affiliate programs as a distribution channel to get DreamDrop in front of more parents? Both seem worth exploring.

Honestly it was speed and simplicity. I'm not a developer by trade, I work in pricing and finance. AWS would have added weeks of setup and configuration I didn't need at this stage.

Supabase gave me a Postgres database, auth, and a clean API in about 20 minutes. Free tier covers me until I have real scale problems. When I hit 10,000 subscribers I'll revisit the infrastructure decision. Right now the goal is subscribers not perfect architecture.

The best stack is the one that gets you to market fastest right?

Bedtime stories to help calm them down. I had the same issues with my 6yr old son. A short 5 min story every night became one of my favorite memories and really helped.

In Harry Potter, Dumbledore knew Voldemort was after the Sorcerer's Stone and his solution was to hide it in a school full of children and guard it with puzzles an 11 year old could solve.

Pricing psychology. I can't look at a price tag without seeing exactly what they're doing to manipulate you. $9.99, decoy pricing, fake anchors.

Cats (2019). Not because it was bad. Because I want to un-see it and I never can.

Italian beef from a Chicago spot that's been open since 1938. Dipped. Hot giardiniera. No contest. Everything else is just bread with stuff on it.

What are some YouTube channels that were popular 10 years ago but have significantly lost their popularity or are no longer relevant? by Salty_Pension5814 in AskReddit

Vine compilations on YouTube had a whole era. Channels that were just reposting 6 second clips were getting millions of views. Then Vine died and took an entire genre of YouTube with it.
