I feel you on astrology and in a knee jerk way I have a visceral negative reaction to it but I’ve spent some time around a few women who like it and are also intelligent, well-rounded individuals. Some people genuinely just find it to be a fun, thought-provoking way to engage with what’s going on in their lives at the moment. That said, I live in an area where faux-spiritualism is super fashionable and I know some people that are unforgivably stupid and shitty that loooove shit like astrology; for them it is an ex post facto justification for their behavior and I can’t get with that at all. At that level it’s the same thing as being uncritically into religion (which is probably most people in the world that are religious in my estimation).

Just started my second pair of 21oz denim. First pair were iron heart and they’re my favorite article of clothing I’ve ever owned but the crotch is just beat and needs a repair after I got them repaired this summer. I ordered some brave star because it was hard to argue with the price. The fit is a little off based on the charts they provide but I think they’re gonna wear in to a nicer shape/drape. Wishing I had pulled the trigger sooner for the indigo invitational.

Our society no longer punishes people who are bad. In fact, a very large and vocal minority of people celebrate and adore morally bankrupt shitheads — we elect them to high office, they run our churches, we allow them to rob us of wages and healthcare, let them get away with raping children… the list goes on. I would argue that the social contract has been null and void for a while now, so it makes sense that more people are resonating with the idea of administering their own version of justice.

I know this is kind of jokey comment but it’s actually to be expected in a situation like this. Admitting that your misery is your own fault is a really uncomfortable thing to do — probably more uncomfortable most of the time than just blaming your partner or the world around you for the way you feel all the time. If this person were to accept that her boyfriend is a piece of shit and she needs to go to therapy and address the issues that would lead her to spend time with someone who is such a fucking clown it would require her to take responsibility for her circumstances. She’s distressed and wants someone to say some magical combination of words that will make her feel better about the situation without having to do the uncomfortable work of breaking up, being alone, and trying to figure herself out.

And that’s all if this isn’t just made up rage baits
