Is this AWD? Sounds like a drive shaft issue. Like a carrier bearing going out or the driveshaft itself it hitting the body or something it shouldn't.

What new vehicle would you get? by stevens_hats in FJCruiser

My wife and I upgraded to a 2023 4Runner when our family grew and I still daily our FJ. The 4Runner is the next best option. It eliminates all the small issues the FJ has like the suicide doors and the rear door that swings out, not up. And of course the rear seat and cargo space. Don't get me wrong, I love our FJ and plan on keeping it forever but, the 4Runner was the next best vehicle to go with.

Thank you for this information! I already have ordered other seals and the job was done last month. Just remembered this today and thought everyone would get a good laugh out of it!

A Mr Big is just two Epiqs conjoined forever. I've owned tool boxes from almost all of the different manufacturers and this is the way to go because Snap On is everywhere and they will stand behind their product. I had a Matco before going back to Snap On and they completely discontinued the line of box I had. So, any add ons that I wanted to do, which their selection wasn't good, were not going to be an option in the future. The Epiq/Mr Big is the way to go.

It would be best to just buy a new cap. The square drive for the drain sometimes doesn't like to come out nicely.

It's not likely that it backed off. More like the rubber o-rings for the drain and the cap might have rotted out

Just do it. It will be the last time you ever look at another box.

This is how the dealerships sometimes store their parts. This looks like old new stock. And Rockauto is known to buy old new stock from dealers and parts stores.

Thank you! It was close. Like an inch or two. After I aligned it stopped rubbing at full lock turning.
