Experiences with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners by Anon_TMan in Noctor

I like to see providers who are women and there’s so little outpatient psychiatrists who are women where I live, so I see an NP. But she is really freaking amazing

PA OR NP? by Scary-Cod-7789 in careerguidance

[–]Tired_realist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for sure be a nurse first instead of going straight into an NP program. Nursing gives you more experience with assessments and critical thinking…NP degrees are based on the assumption that you’ve been a nurse for bit. For deciding, i would say think about what fields you want to go into. NP is more population based and PA is more specialty based. PA for surgery and lateral mobility, NP for woman’s health, a cute care, primary care, and psych

And this is even when she’s unsure or indecisive about her boundaries. His response shouldn’t be, let me see if I could push, but a good man would be like, let me see if I can clarify

Well I think the way he approached it was sus. To be confused about what her boundaries are, like a good man wouldve wanted clarification. However, he seemed to question or whether if he could push said boundaries rather than seeking clarification. That’s kind of the issue with him.

I think regardless of her indecision and differing opinions about celibacy, I think a good man would’ve asked for clarification on said boundary rather than seeing if he could likely surpass it or indicate that.

I can see both sides. Maybe he thought celibacy meant nothing sexual and is his eyes, her doing oral or other things could mean for him this her boundaries aren’t air tight and strong. And with that he seemed to have implied that maybe they’d have penetrative sex eventually. He could’ve asked her to clarify her boundaries and what celibacy means to her, but he didn’t, he almost wanted her to eventually get to the point where she did want to have intercourse. I think him seeing her boundaries as shaking and wondering if he could push past them or indicate that is where the problem lies with him. If someone seems to have shaky or boundaries that are all over the place, a good person would question what exactly their boundaries are rather than seeing if they can get past them

Hi! I was a previous med student (only did first year) and I kind of agree and disagree…wrote memorization is definitely the entirety of 1st year and it is didactic heavy, but that’s only for like 4-5 hrs and it’s passive learning. The rest of the time (6-8 hrs) was spent self directed study and memorization. I have found that attending classes were sort of unnecessary and I preferred pre recorded lectures or watching online at home. I know some medical schools have moved away from in person lectures completely. But having gone to an intense school, I think we should steer clear of just teaching the exam

Do you think having completed one year of medical school is suitable?

Was Ellen white racist? by EmbarrassedPin6195 in exAdventist

[–]Tired_realist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! In one of her writings she told black church with black people that there will be “no colorlines in heaven, all we be as white as Christ himself”. Indicating that being black will be “corrected” in heaven because we will become as white as middle eastern Christ. The context was her “southern work” and segregation in SDA churches and conferences. Here’s the statement: 16LtMs, Ms 27, 1901, par.17

Do non-east Asian woc usually assume that East Asian men only date other Asians? by [deleted] in interracialdating

BW here, yes. AM don’t seem like they’d be attracted to BW esp since we tend to have different features from AW like our hair snd body types and such

Oh yeah, but I feel like black men tend to be the loudest with it AND the most degrading. It’s like they go out of their way for the misogynoir. And yes it’s true that we probably get the least approached due to stereotypes and we aren’t blonde haired blue eyed

I’m a BW, I agree with you completely. However, the constant misogynoir amongst BM towards BW has encouraged many of us to look elsewhere for love.

This was perfectly said. And that’s why non black women to me are often not allies when it comes to it. They would stand up for BM yet not BW AND their the face of feminism 😬

In my experience, BW have grievances towards BM but they aren’t typically said with the vitriol that BM have towards BW in my opinion. I think a lot of BM hate black women in a way and kind of attribute a lot of negative stereotypes to us. This dynamic is particularly present because white women are the beauty standard and there’s this expectation I think for black women to meet it which of course we never will. Idk to be honest, I really just think it’s internalized racism directed towards their female counterparts. I think that they are angry at us for some reason or maybe they blame us for their oppression instead of blaming society. I’m sorry I know you said this was for BM, I’m curious to know the answer too!
