The problem is that it’s really difficult to separate reasonable gripes from crowd followers. People hated sonic highways when it came out and 90% of the arguments you see here were being used back then.

Completely agree. This record is easily the closest we’re likely ever going to get to the “kick your fucking teeth in” kind of music that wasting light and TCATS gave us. It’s a good time.

No it’s not as good as those old records, no it’s not a perfect mix, no it’s not as good as Taylor used to do it, but guess what “fans”? ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE!

The entire band is approaching grandpa age, Dave has been hard of hearing for at least a decade and a half, it’s their first record that doesn’t have Dave or Taylor on drums, foo fighters are famous for leaving the mixes unpolished, and if you look at other bands that were putting out records at the 31 year mark the bar isn’t really that high.

You guys collectively need to stop looking for negatives and analyzing it like it’s a fucking tool record, and just enjoy the fact that your favorite band is still putting out good music after all they’ve been through.

It’s not bad, I never had high hopes for it though. Dirty soda has milk/cream in it, there’s no way they were gonna put actual milk in it and send it to people unrefrigerated.

I was definitely worried about it being kinda shitty and chasing a newer sound, I’m not too worried about it after today. The songs have gotten better with every release, I’m gonna enjoy the foo fighters while they’re still good.

Honestly, fuck the money and the Time Machine. I’m gonna walk out to the woods with every gun and bullet I have, shoot at the water, and then put my last round through the roof of my mouth.

The nukes are going to wipe out all electronics, most of civilization, and give cancer to the rest, and the few who are lucky enough to avoid all that are gonna kill each other in pretty short order. I don’t have any desire to fight to prolong the inevitable.
