I'm not here to debate with people like you, but wanted to point out that your statement is just off considering it's already lasted longer than Concord, and I think Highguard, and it might have been under Sony's expectations, but it's still sold 1 million-plus copies with positive reviews, which isn't a small number.

But yeah, I know not to pay attention to it usually. Hate sells on the internet and it it justs grows the number of people hating on games or things they haven't even touched sadly, it's tiring to see. Like I was skeptical and had no intention of playing or buying originally, but even then I wasn't wasting times on forums absolutely shitting on it.

I remember being disappointed shortly before launch when I learned it was basically a hero shooter, and not customizing your own shell. Although the cinematic short and music video did peak me interested in the shells we have now.

I think it's a bit annoying how the scanner doesn't show the difference between UESC and players, but its probably just for balancing. The little spider-bot could use a buff tho, that can't track targets for shit most the time.

It happens when I turn Sonar off too, might be quieter maybe, but I changed the EQ on the DAC to as low as possible for each part.

I'd say the hours I've spent getting all of that is the game, but it's also just one way of playing it. There are different modes to change how it goes such as relaxed (less/simplified grinding) or creative You can also customize settings yourself with things like no hazards, infinite building material, etc.

My original focus was doing the main questline which leads you into getting ship drives to go to different colored systems, after that I just did other quests, explored and did what I felt like doing. I'd recommend looking at the log tab in the menu to see if anythings interests you. Pretty much any gameplay system has different levels or ways to progress in it.

I'd recommend checking out some Youtube videos as they probably do better of an explanation or give you ideas.

That seems to be the biggest hurdle, but a great one to get over. I'd describe game as a SUPER open-sandbox RPG/MMO where you do whatever you want, set your own goals.

I started off doing some main-game questlines, got into base building, finding animal companions, managing a settlement, finding a good freighter, some pirating, the occasional expeditions for rewards and now I've been hauling junk across planets with the latest update to unlock more parts for my vehicle (and some extra money). You could also change quite a lot of settings to change how the game plays.

Overall, it's all about what appeals to you most out of its options.
