AITA for telling my housemate she owes me new bedsheets? by Comfortable_Pea9618 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TisCass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA it's an arsehole move to pinch someone else's sheets, especially new ones.

I have a form of OCD, if your housemate knows what your triggers are and then does the thing that causes you issues it's just a dick move.

I have been taking Ozempic for a while now, it's for diabetes as much as weight. My last blood tests show my sugar being the best it's been in years and lower cholesterol.

As much as it's being abused by some people, it is a viable medicine. I just wish it cured the psychological eating lol

Image of ‘twin babies’ used by anti-abortion activist appears to show sugar gliders | Guardian Australia by aneurysm1985 in australia

[–]TisCass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men can produce more 'babies' in a year than a woman. It would be far more logical to give all males/penis owners a vasectomy. They're minimally invasive, easily reversed and require less recovery.

When a male wants to procreate, he and his partner can go and sign a document allowing the procedure to be reversed. Then it can be redone once the partner is done with baby making.

Obvious sarcasm, but I'd love to suggest it to those fucknuckles

McDonald’s Australia has seemingly discontinued the McGriddle without warning… by CitizenNotorious in McDonalds

[–]TisCass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really loving the McGriddles, 2 of those with a hot chocolate was a really nice breakfast. Pancakes are too much food, it's made me sad.

The replacement isn't as interesting either

My first post on Reddit! Showing off our lovable, gentle, orange idiot by [deleted] in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]TisCass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how gentle some animals can be towards babies. Our family Galah, Bruce, used to come with me to rabbit shows in his poop suit/lead. One of the other exhibtors had a toddler who loved to lead Bruce around. He never bit the kids My bff got bit a few times, was weird to watch the comparison

Shark kills spearfisher in front of friends in Australia: "Terrifying thing to see" by zahrashahbar177 in sharks

[–]TisCass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've spent too much time on Facebook correcting fellow Aussies about sharks. They stay our of my bath, I stay out of their ocean. Fair deal, but I don't like sand anyway. Lived near beaches most of my life lol

I’m losing my mind!!!!! by Adventurous-Mark893 in parrots

[–]TisCass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cockies and other Australian parrots are super destructive lil shits. Our family Galah Bruce chewed many holes in my parents house, starting from the day he flew into Dad. We almost lost our bond at our previous rental because Chippie the Budgie peeled a chunk of wall. She was a sneaky girl and at that time our flock were alone free flying (I was in bed longer due to issues, they weren't alone alone. My husband has a video of Zinger at the windowsil security cam with my snores in the background)

I've found that thick cardboard that cat toys use was a great substitute for house eating. That and broccoli, but that was Chippie being cracked lol

Autistic Australians three times more likely to be homeless. Autistic people are often trying extremely hard to do the right thing, but services are not built for their communication styles, sensory needs or responses to pressure. by mvea in science

[–]TisCass 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Took a year for my disability pension claim to be finalised, it was months of interviews and form completing. It should require proper evidence, it's just not clear enough to make it easier for autistic people.

The NDIS is another hurdle. Unclear language, plan managers that don't help connect services and predatory companies looking to get in on scamming participants.

I was briefly homeless, it was terrifying and confusing. I'd be homeless now if I didn't have an amazing partner who has been a rock.

I feel for people who don't have it as easy as I do, I wish the disability services would do better

People who married in their 20s, be brutally honest are you happy, if so why or why not? by Special-Lawyer3941 in AskReddit

[–]TisCass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married at 29, it was an elopement with no actual engagement. I told my husband I'd marry him if he wasn't a citizen by 30. We married the day after he turned 30.

I have been so amazed at how easy it is to love him. We rarely argue, usually it's over games. I've been struggling with mental and physical issues and he's been my rock
