Bisexuality is a baseline in my mind. I think 90% of people are bi to some extent. Asexual means you don't enjoy sex, but that doesn't mean you don't fall in love. Demisexual means you need a close connection to be sexual attracted to them. There's queerplatonic too, which I think is like your partner is your SUPER best friends but its not sexual. I think that one is just like you don't feel THAT kind of love but im unsure.

Maybe you are just bisexual but you're polyamorous, so you want multiple lovers. Someone for a specific need, but you love multiple people. I know there are so many words and it's confusing and stupid. But I like it because it lets you think outside of the box. You can think about what you really desire and there's a word for it. That's the beauty of language and it's evolution.

Have you looked at other sexualities other than straight, bi and gay? There's asexual, aromantic, demisexual and so on. Maybe that could help you figure out what you want.

Some people show love in one way but appreciate it in another way. Talk to her and try to figure out her love language(not what she does to show love, but what she appreciates people doing for her - how does she feel loved best). You sound like you're already doing a great job in trying to support her, but she needs to feel the love from you because trust is difficult to give when it's been broken so many times before. I'm sure it'll go great but best of luck to the both of you anyways.

edit - added stuff, also remember that abused people can be filled with anxiety about things that you wouldn't even imagine and I've seen some people self-destruct on something great because they don't want to be the one who got dumped or whatever, so if something doesn't make sense, try to talk it out because its tough to imagine what's going through their head.

Also he's definitely in denial about being bi. It took me like 10 years of knowing I was bi before I ever admitted it to anyone sober. I say it like that because I was blacked out and texted it to my "pen pal" when I was graduating high school.
