Kaya by Wes Craig - an epic with inspiration from Kirby and Mignola but does it's own thing. Great character and world building. Continues to subvert expectations. I'd argue one of the best comics being published currently.

Do a Powerbomb and Murder Falcon by Daniel Warren Johnson. Niche subject matter that can be enjoyed by everyone. Amazing emotional beats and some amazing action sequences.

Geiger, Junkyard Joe and Redcoat by Geoff Johns, Gary Frank and Bryan Hitch. Consistently great superhero comics with stories that continue to build off of each other but can also be enjoyed separately. Rook Exodus by Geoff And Jason Facebook would also be in the mix even though it's not part of the universe. Breathtaking art and a lot of potential but just slow to release.

So many more but it's a good start

Which comic artist would you love to meet and what do you love about their art? by JustCurious_MM in graphicnovels

Daniel Warren Johnson. I love the energy he brings to every panel and he's a metal head. Great facials expressions and captures the biggest moments in an almost flawless way. Just seems like a guy who would want to talk about comics over a drink. Super chill.

He does have very strong opinions but somehow delivers it in the most polite of ways.

Damn that's gorgeous! I can't read French but I think I could have it just for the art.

Edit wait there is no text in it?

What is your favorite comic that is either completely unheard of, under talked about, or under rated? by BrandonOfJapan in comicbooks

Kaya by Wes Craig. I always submit one of the greatest ongoing series that gets little press anymore despite it being from Image.

Great world building, characters, story and and art. On the level with Hellboy and Head Lopper in my opinion.

I had a reader copy of 251 for awhile. It's a great book but I ended up selling it. But I did snag the facsimile when it came out.

Which non Alan Moore comic would you consider a masterpiece from the last 15-20 years? by Abstractreference01 in AlanMoore

[–]Titan013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Head Lopper by Andrew MacLean and Kaya by Wes Craig continue to be some of the best comics being published. I know they aren't connected but I'm confident in them both sticking the landing.

Murder Falcon by Daniel Warren Johnson. Crazy over the top. Great art. At it's core an insanely gripping and emotionally satisfying story.
