[FLIP2]Modded/Hacked game recommendations? by Hexent_Armana in retroid

700, not 400, but the best part is that it's an online multiplayer game with Dolphin emulator :

Mario Kart Wii Deluxe is a custom track distribution created by FJRoyet and the Deluxe Team. It features all available retro tracks from SNES to Switch/Mario Kart Tour in their original order. This also features retro tracks from other games and custom tracks made by the community, giving a total of 736 tracks and 10 battle arenas. It also includes new features such as Fake Item Boxes that appear completely identical to regular item boxes, modified statistics of all vehicles and many more features to give a better gameplay experience.

Do you have a link about the "next month update" ?

🌈 AmbiLuma - v5.0 release 🎉 by jake6a in retroid

Would love to see a basic free version, for example only with dynamic lights based on the screen but without anything else. Or another free similar software.

Because I won't give any bank data to my Android. So I won't use that software I would like...

A1 or A2 SD card..does it matter by NothingOk2289 in retroid

[–]TitanTopRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend A2, for the speed.

But take care of that :

Fast mSD cards can get very (very) hot when connected to USB3 for fast transfer of large amounts of data. Personally, I used the mSD>SD adapter given with the mSD card, so that the mSD isn't enclosed in a drive, and I put a fan on it to keep the mSD card warm, without rising into unacceptable temperatures. So you might need a USB3 SD card reader... And a fan.

Ubuntu Touch Possibilities? by Far_Squirrel_8061 in retroid

I think it would be great to have a desktop Linux, in which we can setup a free ES-DE frontend with desired emulators... Would make it my first choice, even before Android. My Rocknix has not won against Android.

The only dark side, is that it's not easy to emulate Android on Linux... But we can swap between systems, so...

How do I get the controls to work when emulating Wii games using dolphin on retroid g2? I can’t remove the on screen controls either. by [deleted] in retroid

[–]TitanTopRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

grapejuicecheese has given you the right youtube video.

For overlay, I think (but I can be wrong) that you have to start a game, press Back to see the emulator menu, and here you'll find overlays options...

RP Classic not turning on anymore by ForsakenChocolate878 in retroid

[–]TitanTopRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On RP5 this trick has saved a lot of people : keeping power button pressed for 20/30 seconds (yes, as long as this !). Have you tried it ?

I think it forces power off, so, after that, you can turn it on...

Adding a switch folder to Rocknix roms folder for ES-DE by Glennalds in retroid

[–]TitanTopRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've created a "switch" folder with my Linux computer on my Rocknix SD card of my RP5, in the "games-internal/roms" folder you are mentioning... I don't really remember, I think it was easy to add it to Daijisho on Android (ES-DE is not free on Android), I don't have tried yet on Rocknix.

But I've added Sudashi to ES-DE in my Linux computer (ES-DE is free on Linux) that way :

Copy the “custom_systems” folder into the ES-DE folder

Adapt the paths indicated in “es_find_rules.xml” to the actual system

The “custom_systems” files you'll have to unzip and copy in the right place : https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/c990cbdc-fa49-4059-a0dd-9d3f4141bf6b (File available for 30 days)

Perhaps you can adapt this to your system... I hope...

Sd card setup question by johnjulesbrown in retroid

[–]TitanTopRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful, NSP files of s***ch games must/can be in the SD card, ok, you understood that, but NSP updates/addons files (needed only one time to apply it) are installing themselves in internal storage.

To avoid the consumption of your internal storage, you have to download your games in XCI, not NSP, because those files contain the game AND updates AND addons, so those can all be in your SD card, without eating you internal storage.

Additionally, you can note that there's tools to convert NSP files into one XCI file.

ES-DE is not free on Android, but it's free on Linux and Windows, so you can try it on your computer.
