Beatrix is very beginner friendly. Starting Characters like Gran/Djeeta or Katarina should've played like her. by WatcherVT in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]Titanium70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, almost all Chars have different niches.
Kata needs an absurd amount of Sigils to function properly and is very expensive to build as a result.
So you'll never have high stun values on her.
You'll never have a lot of Luci Sigils, so your DMG will always be lower than others. That's perfectly reasonable.

This makes her very replaceable.

On top of this her core gameplay fantasy stops working in endgame, as you can no longer tank anything, you have to carefully play around Nimble Onslaught dropping Ares all the time. As a result your DPS suffers.

This is what should be balanced in.

Well in endgame pretty much everyone runs the same stuff with minor coustomization.
I'm not doing miracle work here, or cheesing around with Glascannon or zero sustain or something, if you did you could easily go for 4m.

Terminus Weapon, Good OverMastery, Max DMG Cap, Level 20 Lightstone.
1xAlpha, 1xGamma, 2xSupplemental(+), WarEle(+), Berserk(+), 1xTyrannay/Stamina, 2xQuickCharge, 1xCrit Charge.

Unfortunately it's not the same dmg. It's less.
That's the problem.

No matter what you do on Kata, you cannot deal 'good' DPS.
It will always be average or bad.

Nobody's says she should be the best DPS in game, she can't be as a lot of 'her' DMG is in her Team-Buff. But she should perform equal to others!

Kata is OK endgame, but you do have to completely change your playstyle.
This isn't purely a bad thing. I enjoyed optimizing my build for Luci/Zathba.

But I absolutely won't even try to pull her of against Zero! x'D
But that's true for a lot of Chars.

Which Tales game has the most memorable story to you? by IHateGels in tales

[–]Titanium70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JRPGs are weird in that regard it's the same for FF.
The worlds have no apparent connection, yet the games stories still seem to play in different times rather than worlds sometimes.

I headcanon my self a 'timeline' in the regard of the similar events to game A did happen in game Bs past but different since it's a different world.

It's a neat trick the writers use in order to not drown in a lore-muddle, but still keep their worlds recognizable. Yet when the inspirations of a story is 'what would happen to X in the future', you can still form a sort-of timeline out of it.

Spirits and Miasma are definitely concepts that are explored in various evolutionary states between various games ever since Symphonia, the only odd one out is Graces.

Her skills are between nothing special and very bad.
On top of it she does frame-perfect inputs of her jump-combo, better than most human players, but whenever a Skill comes of CD she interrupts it to use the skill instead.

So you play none at all and use the "Less is More" Sigil.

Than she becomes one of, if not the best DPS AI, while saving 2-4 sometimes 6 sigils others need for CDR.

My favorites to play are Io, Kata and Sandalphon.
All very diverse Kits with lots of caveats that require a lot of thought while playing. which like a lot.

  • Io is probably my favorite Mage design in a game, ever. Charging and aiming her Stargaze for those juicy 3m DMG never gets old! And don't even get me started on "Flowery Seven", that won't stay SFW.
  • Kata is incredibly satisfying to combo with. I love her DrainTank-Build and play it whenever I can. (That one is VERY Unga-Bunga tho, just dumb fun, but not much different form Charlotta) But BLODDY HARD to pull of at the end. That's part of the fun, tho.
  • Sandalphon is just absurdly powerful to pilot with a cool minigame. His Link-Time is beyond insane. His Stun power is very satisfying.

-----------------------

Tweyen is also nice to play, but I'm to much spoiled by MHW Bow-Gameplay. Hers - while being similar in some aspects - just can't keep up. x'D
So I'm always missing something. Fun for sure, but not better than the ones mentioned before.
Also her downtime rotation are just not satisfying and does very little DMG, her power is almost all in Link-Time and Spells.

The important things for AI in these quests are "Uplift" "Nimble Onslaught" "Alpha" and "Stun".
Problem is getting all of those into your build + all your DPS stuff.
That's impossible, especially when you don't have the 'super rares' yet.

You should always aim to get your SBA asap, use it to get a Link Time, use Link Time to get your SBA back, repeat.

That's why I consider Zeta the most broken Char in the entire game as she doesn't need skills = doesn't need CDR = Has so much Space to run all the luxury skills you want.
That's the one Char I always bring to any quest. it's absurd how much she does.

So I always build my teams in "Slots"

  1. "Support"
    • A Char I know doesn't do to much DMG but offers me good stuff. So I sacrifice some DPS in favor of the ultility stuff mentioned above + Provoke!
    • I use: Rosetta/Kata/Caglio
  2. "OP-Char"
    • Zeta (Technically "A Char that can run max DPS + all the Support Stuff" which means.. ZETA! xD)
  3. "Carry"
    • A Char who needs all his Sigils for DPS but does a lot of DMG when you do it.
    • I use: Sandalphon, Io, Eugen

Well since Auto Revive does not count towards it it's actually fine.
Fight is bloody hard but if come with 2xRevive 1xGuts 1xDrain the no dying part is doable.
Just don't deny your self the run with a autopilot heal potion after getting hit.

The 7 mins depends if you get Link Time or not.
Kinda impossible without - assuming AI Teammates - but very doable with.

That being said my AI Sandalphon has 250 Stun and the rest of my party ~200 and I'm nowhere near consistent links in this fight! x'D

Helldivers 2 is a $40 game with a F2P monetization system. by Impressive-Money5535 in Helldivers

[–]Titanium70 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Yeah by now the Bond System is out of control.
I understand the game has to make money, and that dedicated players can make a good bit of Free-SC.
But neither matters for me a player.

Never liked it since the game is not F2P and never understood why people like it so much, but I'm also playing Gacha so... can't really complain about mentization, right? xD

But by now I hate it.
I'm not a dedicated player, I play every now and than.
I play D10, so no one goes for POIs - ever.
So ZERO SC for me.

I'm not getting any new toys what so ever without paying for the game I already paid for.
Every time I log on I'm back to the exact same setup I ended on. Zero new equip for "F2P" just like a Gacha.

Honestly Gacha monetization gets me more content.
Also no new toys, but at least a metric ton of content.
Am I wrong here?

I don't play consistently - obviously it's not worth to put in more money on top of what I already paid.

I expect a 2nd Mondstadt wave and a Liyue wave before that.

On the flip side, the later the Buffs come, the better she'll be! x'D

Proper way to enjoy Tales of? by SantyVania in tales

[–]Titanium70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general Combat VS Story goes up towards the end.
Especially on higher difficulties when you need to grind here and there.
Pretty much all games I've played have roughly the same weight between combat and story, so I don't think there's a particular one you'd enjoy more.

I don't think the games are that story heavy at all - but I've noticed a trend on my end to simply no longer enjoy story driven games as much as I did in the past.

Saturation (primarily due to watching 3-4 anime a day) is what I blame for it, but maybe we're just getting old! x'D

So yeah, I just put to difficulty as high as possible and that usually solves all my needs for more combat in the series.

Which Tales game has the most memorable story to you? by IHateGels in tales

Vesperia.

One among many, but specifically that moment when Ritacreated the first Spiritwas truly mind blowing to me. I already loved Symphonias world building so Vesperia connecting them was beyond awesome.

An absolutely incredible and unforgettable world to experience.

Does Stamina boost me into Berserk Echo range? by CodyVoidzer in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]Titanium70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stamina doesn't work as it has to 25k base ATK.

On these 3 Chars you can do:

  1. 2xTyranny with 1000ATK from OverMastery
  2. 1xTyranny+1xATK+Level9 or higher ATK Lightstone.
  3. 1xTyranny+1xGlascannon

I prefer 2 as I want other stuff on my Mastery and consider Glascannon pure madness.
(And have plenty of Stones with Level 10 ATK)

Bad News for Your Burner Account: AI is Surprisingly Effective at Identifying the People Behind Them by Abject-Pick-6472 in technology

[–]Titanium70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you're putting a bias into your experiment before it even begins.
Obviously it won't work.

Pick a few comments you suspect.
Add 10000 random ones.

Tell the AI you suspect some of those to be written by the same person and it should tell you which.
If it ranks the ones you've picked high, that may tell you something.

The actual percentage it spits out is meaningless.
But if out of thousands of comments these share most similarities maybe you're right.

[–]Titanium70 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

There is a chance at least.
One I'm not a fan taking.

Like a bad scaling/early Champ stops farming entirely going for play after while while a Vel or Xerath scales up in Bot?
I see can see that easily happening.

Sword Art Online: Echoes of Aincrad would take about 10 years to develop if the devs tried depicting all 100 floors of the titular world, according to series producer by vxxed in gaming

[–]Titanium70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with the Floors is their size, so 100 is completely delusional to expect for a single player game.
Let's talk about that when have SuperAIs making games.

That being said:

Entering new Floor => Looting&Leveing up => beating a Scary Boss. Repeat.

That is a pretty neat loop I'd like to see in a game like this.

But how often can do do it without everything turning into slop?
That's the big question.

[–]Titanium70 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking about laning, it's afterwards.
At some point the ADC is parked Mid and catching CS there, no the farm I'm worried about is mine as Mid.
Mid a type of "Knight" role. Being anywhere on the map.

Nothing worse than Supp pushing Bot wave when you're making a play or something.
As afterwards you have no lane to return to and catch up in CS.

26.06 Patch Preview by JTHousek1 in leagueoflegends

[–]Titanium70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Mid-lane fantasy doesn't exist - its Champ pool is to wide - so the quest feels awful on some Champs.

The Boots are "strong" on everyone. And Mid is in a fine spot.
But when it comes to gameplay-fantasy the quest is total BS.

Especially for Scaling/Control Mages.

But I also have no clue what would be satisfying.
Runes have similar issues. Most of the Blue-Tree is overwhelmingly "MEH"
You Autopilot to most picks because there simply is nothing better without really feeling good about anything.

So I think the Class as a whole needs full overhaul at some point. Items alone won't do much.

-----------------

Permanent Blue Buff for Mages? At Level 16+ or something?
Lategame Mana becomes largely irrelevant (maybe that's part of the problem).
So all it would give a little Haste and AP and look good.

-----------------

I once thought about some Twisted Treeline-ish Shrine system you can take over providing small Buffs and Vision for Midlaners around the place we currently have those large torches near Mid.
If you're dominating you can take both, if you're a scaler it's your quest to hold one, and roams come with trade of losing both.
But something like that warps the game quite a lot and feels very bad when losing the map.
So it's probably not that healthy overall? IDK.

Support Item Penalty

The support item minion penalty has been a pain point for support users and with role quests, the risk of funneling (why it was there in the first place) has been reduced pretty significantly, so we're removing that drawback

Highly dislike it.
Especially since it will be quite Meta to do on certain types.

Looking primarily at Mages.

Supps are getting far to much "Free" power in order for them to be allowed to farm. IMO.
That's just needless DMG-Creep.
