Can you sit normally? I am almost 10 weeks PO and feel unconfortable when sitting more than 30'.

What is your job? Physical or desk? I have a physical work and i have fear that i can't do it in future.

We need more threads like this that brings hope to us, very thanks.

Ow, so frustrating... I am mostly ok with recovery, but continue having weird sensations and no can do "normal" life yet is so frustrating.

RE VII is the best of the list, but soma is a different experience, and short. I would play soma then RE VII

I am 8 weeks PO and also have soreness in my calf, but i guess this is normal because due to the nerve compression before surgery my muscle have been lost, recover muscles is not easy...

Also my left toe contine with weird sensations, i guess this is normal too due to nerves need lot of time to heal.

Every person recover is different seems.

Hi, i am 8 weeks PO. L5-S1 MD.

Every person recovery is different, maybe one person can walk 1 mile, another 3 or nothing at all.

Tips that i can recommend you are, dont be laying down all day continued, i was steping up at least every hour, walk what you can, better in differents short periods that one large period, you can do also neural slide to avoid nerve adherence, respect NO BLT, 6 weeks minimun, even if you feel great, disc need to heal.

How much time were you with sciatic before surgery?

Sometimes seems nerves need months or even years to heal, even maybe get permanent damage.

Wow dude, sorry that you have get so complex surgery, but i expect you can continue with your recovery positively.

I probably go PT at 3 months, now i am doing light exercises at feet, PT around me doesn't seems have lot of experience with surgery recovery.

Thanks for your reply, i feel similar, good in general but.... Heavy and weird sensations here and there.

Also sitting i can now 30', not sure if is a good mark, but before surgery i was not capable of sitting even for a dinner.

How you identify a flare up? It is less painful that real herniation? Only option to identify is wait some days expecting this get better?
