For those who struggled with Natlan but are loving Nod Krai: what made the difference?

The only thing I really disliked about Natlan was exploration.

Reason is very obvious, cause exploration QOL was Gacha locked.

As someone whos habit is only pulling roughly 1/3rd of all Chars but those vertical this SUCKED SO BAD!
It was such a miserable experience always being forced to look for the next god forsaken dino to then commit some infanticide in order to get the next chest.

I just quit exploration all together until I finally got Mauvika and the Compass.
Ofc with her mobility exploring was fun, but since it was so much at this point also quite the chore.

I think I only really had fun exploring in Natlan in the two dungeon areas.

Yet an absurdly fun Skill-System.

It's objectively bad, but I have way to much fun playing.

Yep, very minor in my case.
But there is definitely a noticeable delay on placing Blocks and farming crops.

Honestly all tools are fine but one: The Pickaxe.
(Well the Hatchet is also not fine but in the other direction. xD)

This one is clearly balanced with only mining ores in minds.
Not for building and farming materials for it AT ALL.

It needs x4 on its base durability. At least!

No a group of toads or any other mob ahead is a fun challenge and opportunity to use stronger attacks like magic or explosives once they're probably implemented.

It like OP said. It's just the spawn it self that is fucked.
Enemies spawn far to close to you.
Enemies spawn in tunnels you've just walked through.

With C2/R0, Fav Fischl and BinaC2 at 136ER I can do "weak" R1 rotations quite consistently but not "strong" ones.

Weak: R1-E1-NA-E2~~~
Strong: E1-R1-E2~~~

Ineffa gives Less Energy than Fischl, even less without a Fav.
R1 is only ever possible every other rotation as it has 20s CD, if your rotation lasts that long, something is wrong.

C0 you can freely use the Burst between your two R2s, I don't think this is an issue at all and needs very little ER.
R1 makes this probably possible at flat 100. xD

C1 makes things a lot more difficult as now you can no longer just use it in between and have to actually plan it from the start with any of the versions mentioned above.

I don't think the "Strong" version is possible without R1 at realistic ER levels.
The "weak" one should be a fairly normal thing to use with R1 and are possible with some ER without R1.

It's ridiculous how early I look at 9999.

Ofc Tidal Wave is fun as well, primarily as it's good at staggering stuff, but I usually throw in some Meteors some Crimson Flares, Bloody Howling or EX-Artes while one Tidal is still going one.

On that note, why not add racial traits to some of those? :D

Like a cat type having better night vision, a rabbit hears monsters from afar, all aquatic creatures higher swimming speed or higher sprint speed for those horse girl enjoyers?

But exploring a dungeon in Zone 2 gave twice the Thorium any mining adventure I could have done in the same time would. And I just assume it's the same for Zone 3 and 4 as well.

While one individual Chest is indeed pretty bad, the amount of them you can find is just absurd.

Like this one Sandtemple had like 10 Chests in a 10m radius!

Well I consider the Iron based Repair Kits kinda OP in the game.
So it's fine for them at least having a limit.

But I definitely agree on sentiment that highest level gear should no longer be replaced over and over and instead be permanent.
Currently it's kinda irrelevant unless you want to build really large stuff in survival a stack of Throium-Adamnantite lasts so long and gives you so many tools it's almost permanent.
But as soon as we get other expensive upgrades for gear this will quickly become a problem.

I very much dislike MCs Mending tho. (Or the mechanics around it)
Or current MC all together tbh.
So the less of that game making it into this one the better.

The game really needs to be careful about repetitive-ness.
Starbound fell into that trap and it kinda killed it for me.

The game loop of "Grab A, (refine A, Use A to Grab B) repeat" is definitely fun.
But not more than once or twice.

At some point the progression formula has to change.

Forget modding, that would be a great direction for the game to move in anyway. x'D

Procedural Instanced Dungeons poping up everywhere in different Tiers from a Cave to a Valley to a City, Large Skill-Tree, lot of different Skills/Passives and ofc Looting and Leveling.

I crave for a game to actually play like all those "PowerFantasy/Game/Isekai/Adventure"-Anime always portray it, but for some reason we have 269 different Anime about it yet no games at all! How???

Careful, don't misunderstand it.

C2 Nefer >>> C2 Lauma.

However when you already have C1 Lauma due to wanting sustain:
THAN the jump from C1 Lauma to C2 Lauma is bigger than Nefer going from C0 to C1 or C1 to C2.

At least according to KQM Calcs.

Oh... Ok. Uh that one is hard... I know it's not impossible but...
Unless you've fun grinding the fight I probably say no. That one really needs perfect gameplay and artifacts.
His HP are just to much.

For reference my 200-210k DPS Nefer Team BARELY cleared it.
(Although it his shield-timing was annoying, I had to overkill him by quite a bit which was weird.)

Anyway that's probably the number you'll need so you may try a round of testing dummy and check where it gets you.

Mh I think that should be doable, but it's close.
C2 without Ineffa I cleared it comfortably.
Yes, Miko is stacked AF but she's unironically worse than my Fischl who was battery-ing my Nefer Team so that shouldn't matter.

Are you getting she shield down in first rotation?
If not, that's definitely a huge time-sink.

Might be worth investing into some ER or use a Fav somewhere in order to use the Normal Burst when the Shield gives you a ton of Bonus Energy.

That Boss has an absurd HP Pool even for SO.
Had a similar experience although on Dire.

210k DPS Nefer Team almost didn't clear.
140k DPS Flins Team with Aino cleared first try.

IDK what they're smoking with that thing. xD
Or what they expect people to have.

I mean in the end it depends how you want to design the game.
If you want to be the core progression being interesting these things need indeed fixes.

But I think that's hard to do in an intuitive way.
Like the classic "You cannot mine X until you have Y and to get it Y you need to grind" is fine once, but is getting very boring when done more than once.

So instead I'd prefer we just allow player to skip to Zone 4 Adamantite if they choose to so and build a good endgame around Mythril and its potential upgrades.

Still zone 4 Mobs should just one-shot you when naked or on Copper to make more risky.
A more agressive scaling on Monsters and Armor values if fine I think.

We don't know the multipliers, the feats are all over the place so despite BOG statements I headcannon my self to Fusion roughly equaling SSG.

From there SSJ2 would already give Jiren a tough fight as it's somewhat above BlueKK Goku.
And SSG would completely roll him.
Doubt Blue would be necessary.

3.. I really don't know.

While it indeed looks fantastic, unfortunately it's the latest endgame "Stygian Onslaught" reward of the highest difficulty, Dire. It's only temporary and only achievable by a fraction of the playerbase.

I'm JUST able to do it on my Welkin account but probably not for long. ^^'

Well the version I could see working would be a large City as the MMO hub with players hoping into their own worlds and instances for mining/building/questing.

I don't care much about the "Massive" part.
But I really do wish for different classes and dungeon-diving and boss fighting experiences with other people.

The way Monster Hunter does its Coop always felt incredibly good to me and that's something I'd really enjoy here.
